  • President Obama: Start the Afghan Peace Talks
Afghan President Hamid Karzai is refusing to sign an agreement with the U.S. unless the U.S. agrees to transfer Afghan prisoners from Gitmo and start peace talks with the Afghan Taliban. These are just demands; they are stated U.S. policy. Transferring the Afghan prisoners is key to the return home of U.S. soldier Bowe Bergdahl and key to the beginning of peace talks to end the war. Peace talks are key to the safe withdrawal of U.S. troops. President Obama should implement the prisoner transfer without delay and start the peace talks without delay.

  • congressional investigations
These three scandals Extortion 17, Benghazi, and the ATF "Fast and Furious" have been the cost of U.S military lives being lost. I would ask everyone to sign this to bring all involved to be brought to justice to have real investigations done not just a show for cameras.

  • save garr academy
To save garr academy by having the sign the M.O.U and stepping down. This is affecting me because my daughter is a long time student of garr as well as many other students who are being forced out and given no choice but to be removed from the environment that excel in and subjected to the over crowding and low test scores of public schools thus affecting their ability to learn.

  • Stop Navy Sonar Testing
The Navy is about to cause harm to our whales unnecessarily. Although other petitions against Navy sonar already exist, this petition is directed toward California's Senators and Congress by their own constituency, making it more likely they will respond. Please join us on Facebook at 'Stop Navy Sonar Testing'.

  • Governor Brown: Stop Fracking in California
I don't want the environment and the land to be destroyed due to the greed of the oil industry. I want to preserve and improve, not further destroy the health of our environment for our children and their children. Fracking contributes to global warming. We deserve to have clean air and drinking water. Gov Brown can stop the fracking as did New York State and Hawaii. Our State legislature needs to do more to promote development of clean energy instead of subsidizing the oil industry's rape of California.

  • One Lie Rule
Every single person in the U.S. (the world for that matter) is affected by all the lies our elected officials keep telling us. It's time to clean house and allow only the honest members to remain. Bye, bye now...

  • No School Tomorrow
It is dangerous to have school on 12/18/13 due to snow and ice conditions. I am seriously concerned about the ice already on the sidewalks and the heavy snowfall on top of that. These conditions alone should be enough to cancel school and protect our community. If school isn't canceled students could get hurt getting to and from school. Some students have long commutes and it is always best to make the safest choice possible and not risk anything.

Communities LIBERTY SQUARE, 1933-1987: THE ORIGINS AND EVOLUTION OF A PUBLIC HOUSING PROJECT by Paul S. George and Thomas K. Peterson Tequesta, number XLVIII (1988) History of Liberty Square, built in the 1930s for Miami's low-income African-Americans, and of the changing demographics of people living there. Florida's first housing project, built by the federal Public Works Administration (PWA).I. REACHING FOR UTOPIA: 1933-1936 This project will be one of the greatest blessings that Miami ever had. It will not only eliminate the possibility of fatal epidemics here, but also fix it so we can get a servant freed from disease. John Gramling, October 17, 1934 The First Administration of Franklin Roosevelt was barely nine months old when in December 1933, Miami attorney John Gramling, along with six other lawyers and businessmen, formed the Southern Housing Corporation for the purpose of developing a "negro colony" on one hundred and twenty acres of land on Miami's northern outskirts. Their inspiration was the recently-created United States Reconstruction Finance Corporation, which provided low-interest loans for slum

  • Designated Pumping Area in Workplace
I am starting this petition because I feel our society already makes it difficult for moms to breastfeed and work. I have personally been affected by this issue since there is not a specific place (that is consistent, and I know will always be available) for me to pump at work. Breastfeeding is the most beneficial form of nutrition for a baby, and I feel all companies should support working mothers by providing an adequate and consistent location to pump.
