It's not right for then to take my freedom over something I have not done, I am living my mothers punishment

I want to eat healthy food, and I want the Earth to remain a safe place to grow up in. GMOs are dangerous and should be banned.

Fracking requires tons of water to be mixed with toxic chemicals and pumped under ground at high pressure to crack the rock that naturally separates the gas from our water and air ways. The toxic waste water that doesn't remain in the ground must then be disposed of, and there is no good place to keep it. Farms and ranches in Pennsylvania and Ohio have been destroyed after fracking came to their land. Fracking is an energy intensive, invasive, unsafe way of harvesting fossil fuels that contribute to climate change. Frack wells release methane gas, a greenhouse gas more potent than carbon dioxide, into the atmosphere. We need better energy alternatives than this if we expect to leave a decent planet for our children. Keep fracked gas and fracking infrastructure out of Maine!

The risks of consuming food containing genetically modified organisms (GMOs) are still mostly unknown, but large food corporations have actively lobbied against labeling food containing GMOs. Texans should be given a choice about whether or not to purchase genetically modified food, so I support labeling all food that contains GMOs.

I have 3 grandsons who love to play vigorously outdoors--to play team sports, to swim and to run around the park playground. Whether they--and their children--will continue to enjoy the outdoors will be determined by whether or not oil companies exploit their current reserves. Climate experts tell us the planet will face catastrophic and irreversible temperature increases if we don't stop burning fossil fuels immediately. CalSTRS can pressure the fossil fuel industry to relinquish these future profits--and avoid financial calamity when this "carbon bubble" bursts--by divesting now. Investing instead in green energy companies will speed the day when alternative, sustainable energy replaces grossly overvalued oil.

We have a right to know what we're eating.

Fair is fair. Drug testing is done at all work places, If my employer feels I should be drug free on MY job, I feel as we, the employers of the Government, the people of the United States, have a right to drug free officials. We hire them, therefore, we have the right to know they are drug free, and sober and doing their job without hindrances..

Am starting this petition with child abuse especially child molesting on the rise and these people go to jail but end up getting out and doing the same offense again and again. I feel the death penalty will greatly put a stop or reduce the number of reported child rapes or molesting. Repeat offenders gets out of jail and fail to sign up as a sex offender and they end up falling though the cracks, please sign this to put and end to child molesting which in turn in the future lots of victims will grow up without being abused and the cycle of child molesting will stop!

I co-own Jem Raw Organics, an organic food manufacturing company in Bend, Oregon, and I believe consumers have the right to know whether the foods they purchase were produced with genetic engineering. I am not saying we should ban them yet, but we should have the basic right to know what we put in our bodies!

As research increased my awareness about the affects of Genetically Modified foods, further backed by scientific research and medical doctors whose patients improved after removal of GMOs, it became a passion to make labeling a requirement to benefit everyone. Florida's House Bill 1 (HB1) needs to be supported to make labeling a requirement. Your support signing this petition is appreciated and will let your voice be heard to our legislatures.

We all need food. Companies should not be allowed to tamper with our food. They are free to create whatever products they want, but these products should not be mixed with our existing food without us knowing it. I am worried about my children being used as guinea pigs by the food industry. It is unbelievable that our government does not protect our right to know what we eat. This has got to stop.
