Many people don't have houses, shelters are overflowing, & many artists & other working people & people who lost their homes in the housing collapse are being sent to jail & fined for sleeping in their vehicles. It is reasonable for police to run search warrants, but it is discrimination to penalize not owning private property.

I work for a non profit who provides aid around the world to people starving everyday. People who eat have more potential to come out of poverty and nobody should stand in the way of that basic human right, especially when we live in a land of plenty.

Because this Voters I.D. Law is discriminatory and will disenfranchise Blacks, Hispanics and Asians. Blacks and Whites died for us to have this right.

Citizens are only free if they are empowered by information. If resources like public television refuse to broadcast important documentaries such as "Citizen Koch," they are not only de jure servants of private interests, but deliberately circumscribing the liberty of their public. Please do not deprive us of the knowledge we not only deserve, but rely on to make critical decisions!

We the People, by right to petition, do seek a full presidential pardon from President Barack Obama, & we want her set free AND publicly thanked for her continual service & for helping to protect the United States from enemies foreign AND domestic. We the People also demand a change in military protocol to protect whistleblowers who expose U.S. war crimes. We also petition for the sake that military prisons follow standard medical procedure for transgender prisoners.

I am a Vietnam Veteran and am appaled that GE partnered with the German company Krupp who built the gas chambers and was instrumental in bringing Hitler into power. GE and Krupp monopolized the tungsten carbide (carboloy) market and crippled our factories producing essential war materials severely hurting the war effort, all for PROFIT. The Nazi's had all the tungsten carbide they could use and so did GE but our factories went without. Google GE nazi and learn more.

Gov. Brown’s proposal would only exacerbate the broken and costly approach to public safety that has drained our budget without creating long-term, sustainable solutions. California must invest in alternatives like rehabilitation, job training and education proven to help people successfully re-enter society and reduce crime. Our state’s leaders must start listening to the people they are elected to represent who overwhelmingly support smart on crime policies, and embrace the kinds of systemic reforms needed to reduce the state’s reliance on incarceration and lower the number of people who are locked up in the first place. It’s time to put a stop to this waste – urge our legislators to reject this misguided and wasteful proposal that will only throw good money after bad. Demand policies that create safe and healthy communities and reduce costly prison overcrowding.

I work with undocumented immigrants every week in a free ESL class in Phoenix -- many of them have been in the US since they were children. These are hard-working people who love this country and contribute as much as any solid citizen. They need a champion. The Senate Bill isn't perfect, but it would accomplish the basic structures needed to bring about justice for these immigrants. It just needs a vote in the House of Representatives to make it into law.

David Koch is on the PBS board for one reason, to influence programming and prevent PBS from continuing to be the last bastion of Truth in Broadcasting. We, the public, would appreciate the opportunity to see "Citizen Koch" on PBS. The people need to know the truth. Please join the call for a national broadcast of this documentary.

Families are being crushed by poverty and homelessness. Mr. Ryan doesn't seem to understand this. Diane has gathered heartbreaking stories from across the country over the past 8 years. She will do everything to share this crisis with Mr. Ryan so he will be informed as he makes budget decisions.

When Governor Christie took office in 2010, he pulled plans to renovate or rebuild Trenton Central High School. Nearly four years later that school – and schools across New Jersey - have continued to crumble while Christie’s appointed CEO of the School Development Authority - Marc Larkins – drags his feet and stalls repair efforts at every chance he gets. Now the Times of Trenton is reporting that the Trenton Public Schools are taking the School Development Authority to court pointing to the fact that the SDA has ignored the ‘abysmal, deplorable and dangerous conditions’ in the public schools. Newark Public Schools are in the same state of deterioration – walls and ceilings are falling in, bathrooms are broken and toxic materials like flaking and cracked asbestos still line aging pipes and fire barriers. The physical conditions of our public schools create awful learning environments for public school students and literally threaten the health, safety and well-being of our children. Without repairs in public schools across the state, it’s only a matter of time before students are injured by a falling ceiling or poisoned by asbestos or toxic mold. Governor Christie and Marc Larkins are bad for our public schools, bad for our children and bad for New Jersey!
