• Congress Should Pass Stronger Gun Laws.
5-year-old Kentuckyboy fatally shot 2-year-old sister. According to the Kentuchky State Police Trooper Billy Gregory, young children in the area are often introduced to guns at an early age. The boy also got the gun for his birthday. It can cause unexpected or intentional deaths. Guns should be controled by strict laws.

  • Tell Moran: Kansas is all in for Immigration Reform
We are at the brink of a historic moment. The issue of immigration reform emerged as a national issue during the 2012 election, and Washington is finally listening. Let’s make sure they hear us. This is our chance to fix this broken immigration system, keep our families together, and keep our communities intact. Join us as we tell Senator Moran: “It’s time for a legal pathway to citizenship for 11 million undocumented Americans."

  • Michigan: Pass ASL Interpreter Rules to Raise Standards
The Michigan legislature, in 2007, passed a new law raising the standards for ASL interpreters in Michigan. Now, the Joint Committee on Administrative Rules (JCAR) must review and approve the rules before the end of the legislative session, or the DODHH will have to start all over again to get standards raised in the state for Deaf citizens.

  • Keep Mrs. Jessica Gronemeyer at Lawton
This petition in support of keeping Jessica Gronemeyer at Lawton in an early elementary position. Jessica Gronemeyer received a pink slip based on her years experience and not her highly effective teaching in the K-1 classroom at Lawton. We believe that this highly effective, national board certified, diversity specialist and ESL trained teacher should retain her current position at Lawton.

  • Stop Branson propsed 10, 0000 dollar raise
According to the news stations Terry Bransted, Governor of Iowa , proposed to give himself a raise of $10, 000. What has he done to desire a raise after the short time he has been in office. And are the tax payers paying for this. Dave Lobseck gave his raise back. I believe we need to see what Bransted will do first. Iis history repeating itself.

  • Protect our Pets
In recent years, there has been a lot of evidence found pointing to a strong link between animal cruelty and domestic violence. One study found that nearly 90% of families reporting domestic violence had cases of abused pets as well. We can help the affected animals in Pennsylvania by petitioning to include animals in the definition of "abuse," which would allow for pets to be included in domestic violence protection orders.

  • Petition for Pelagics
The Federal Government has banned recreational fisherman from bringing back filleted Pelagic fish (mahi-mahi, Wahoo, Tuna). The problem primarily impacts recreational fisherman on the Florida East Coast travelling to the Bahamas. Recreational boats are not equipped with coolers large enough to keep whole fish fresh for trips of a duration greater than 2 or 3 days and many of the islands do not have stable supplies of ice, causing these fish to rot and go to waste. Also recreational boats, unlike commercial fishing boats, lack the ability to freeze fish whole. We are proposing a recreational per person per day bag limit of fillets measured in pounds to be capped at a certain amount. This would allow recreational anglers to fillet fish, freeze them at the place they are staying and legally return with this fish to Florida.

  • STOP Imperialist intervention in both Syria and Lebanon
The White House has requested that US agencies consider a shift in policy toward directly arming the anti-Assad militias and recognizing the “rebels” as Syria’s legitimate government. It also noted that upcoming “Eager Lion” military exercises bringing 15,000 US and NATO troops, along with those of other US-aligned countries, to Jordan would provide the means of pre-positioning US military hardware for a Syrian intervention.

  • Tell Congress to Bank On Us!
Like millions of other students across the country, I will be graduating with tens of thousands of dollars in student loan debt. Students are being crushed under the impossible weight of student loan debt. Even worse, the interest rate on our student loans is nine times that of the big banks - the same big banks that cost millions of Americans their jobs and nearly wrecked our economy.
