Right-wing super villains Charles and David Koch are looking to purchase media outlets in order create new mouthpieces for their propaganda. Staffers of the Los Angeles Times, one of the media outlets targeted by the Koch brothers, are not taking this lying down. Last week, at an in-house awards ceremony for Los Angeles Times staff, columnist Steve Lopez asked everyone in attendance, "Raise your hand if you would quit if the paper was bought by the Koch brothers." About half the staff raised their hands, perhaps dooming the sale of the newspaper to the Kochs. Please sign our petition supporting the journalists and staff at the Los Angeles Times who are willing to quit their jobs if Charles and David Koch purchase the newspaper.

Everyone has been towed or knows someone who has, due to some sort of parking violation, whether it was a Loading Zone, a meter violation or No Parking. In these events, private towing companies are called to uphold public law and the person being towed, in many cases, has no idea what towing company towed the vehicle. This person must also pay any requested amount even though they did not choose the particular company. The state or county should regulate these practices and protect its citizens from these fraudulent-like practices.

I been living in the area for over 20 years and have never seen the tennis courts here at calumet park being used i would like to try and get a skate park build here at calumet park, dude to the fact that there are lots of children in this area that loves to skate. But there is no place they can go close by, we need one in our own back yard so calumet will be a great place to have one.

DC has given everything to the Perham Volleyball Program. He intended on retiring from coaching after the 2013 season but that is being taken away from him. The varsity players want him as their coach. Isn't it suppose to be our team? Why doesn't the athletic director and superintendant listen to the students? How can they say they are at their jobs for students when they don't even consider what the students want and need? He has done nothing wrong other than care too much for the well being of the players. It is clear to the students/varsity players that the superintendant, athletic director and school board have given up on us. DC has never given up on us!

Since, they have been here, we had several black out, power outages, price gouging on your Bill. They Flooded peoples homes by not getting rid of the water. This only happened after the people demonstrated against their prices and to get rid of them. We dont want them down here, we want Duke Energy out of NC. Out!

These children are deprived of the very pre-school preparation that is instrumental to lifting them out of poverty. And their parents struggle to make alternative arrangements so that they can work and put food on the table. Recently the Massachusetts legislature slashed more than $17 million from this program making the growth of the waitlist all but a certainty. At the same time, millionaires are benefiting from an overly generous film tax credit that in 2011 cost the State of Massachusetts more than $44 million while generating only $7 million in revenue and virtually no permanent jobs.

Park and forest land is being given to developers to make profit for developing. History of Ft. Lincoln community is that the develpers have used abused the mandate from Persident Johnson to make millions for themselves. The land is serving the community as it is and should be not be changed.

I am 8 y/o. My mother is helping me fill this out. I was born and now live in Brooklyn. I love to swim and I love mermaids. After my mother and I did some research to find a Brooklyn based mermaid extravaganza for me to see, she mentioned the CONEY ISLAND MERMAID PARADE, but she and my father thought the parade would be too "outlandish" for me and not "family friendly." However, I would like to reach out to representatives of the State and City of New York for support in SAVING THE MERMAID PARADE. Let's find a way to not only make this parade "family friendly," but come to a compromise to find a way to SAVE THE CONEY ISLAND MERMAID PARADE forever, so that I am able to see it for many days to come. This parade showcases over 1,500 creative individuals from all over the five boroughs. Although it is free, it is also expensive to run. This annual event, that has taken place since 1983, has crowds upwards of 750,000 people. Unfortunately, it has also been threatened by Hurricane Sandy, and need your help. There is a deadline. However, if we are unable to SAVE THE CONEY ISLAND MERMAID PARADE this year, there is always next year, and many more years to come. Thank you.
