Bob Davis, a radio host on Twin Cities News Talk AM 1130 in Minneapolis, a Clear Channel station, said that he'd like to tell the parents of Sandy Hook victims to "go to hell" for infringing on his Second Amendment rights. Davis said, "I'm sick and tired of seeing these victims trotted out, given rides on Air Force One, hauled into the Senate well, and everyone is just afraid -- they're terrified of these victims. ... I would stand in front of them and tell them, 'Go to hell.'" He also stated, "I'm sorry that you suffered a tragedy, but you know what? Deal with it, and don't force me to lose my liberty, which is a greater tragedy than your loss."* To compare one's political views to the brutal and violent loss of a child is disrepectful and inhuman. This hate-filled talk is unimaginably painful for victims' families. Enough is enough: we have to start standing up against hate speech perpetrated by radio hosts and return to a landscape of decent speech and behavior toward our fellow Americans. Sensationalism, while it sells lots of advertisements, appeals to our worst selves and has no place in a time when deep divisions in our country require us to find common ground. Senate Bill 48 is a good government bill. It would create an independent state redistricting commission that would conduct its business in public, end gerrymandering, and make redistricting a rational, independent process for balancing voting populations.

Go to Target, go to Kmart, to Costco, to Publix, to anywhere else for just this one day. Get a taste of who Walmart's actual client base is....Walmart can help us fix the gun issue in this country - or we will shop elsewhere....

Our Congressmen are supposed to represent their constituents. By voting "No" on a Senate bill proposing very watered down gun regulations measures--closing background check loopholes and creating a Commission to study and report on causes of mass violence, among other things--these democratic senators have willfully ignored the 90% of citizens supporting such measures as a common sense step. Instead, they seem to have caved to the NRA and its threats of its financial power. Billions of dollars are spent and thousands of Americans are arrested each year for a victimless crime which is becoming increasingly accepted by the public.

Failure to pass the watered down gun amendment when 90% of the public was in favor is unexplainable and disgusting. The so called representatives of the people should be all censured NOW.
