I Have been in South Eastern School District all of my life, and there are very many children there who are bullied everyday. Such as myself, I have been devastated with family loss, and I am made fun of for not having a mom. I think bulling should be put to an end, so join me and my petition to end it today.

The people who rely on Social Security cannot afford any cuts to their meager benefits. Prices have skyrocketed during these past recession years since 2009. We don't want our older citizens to have to choose between food or medications. It is high time we did not give Social Security to those whose incomes testify to the fact they do not need additional monies. So stop paying the wealthy rather than taking from the poorer recipients.

My parents are both on Social Security and they suffer enough having to pay the extra medical bills that medicare doesn't cover. They are like many of us and lost a company pension due to closer or downsizing. This left them very little compensation for retirement. Being able to retire, after working your whole life, should be a good thing, not a time to suffer more!

If this cut goes into effect then the most vulnerable will be hurt which are the disabled, elderly, and veterans.

I am a senior entitled to free audit classes at our state community college. I have tried to take classes that will enhance my employability. But after two semesters, I gave up because the cost of textbooks is just horrendous. I have tried buying used books but it turned out that they are practically useless because the textbooks have key CD-ROM discs that allow the student to access online assignments and information. The publishers' websites require that the book be registered and owners of used or hand-me-down textbooks are not allowed to register. Some professors seem to be in cahoots with the publishers of such books as their assignments are almost always exclusively accessible on the website of the publishers. After calculating the costs of the textbooks of my son, I found out that according to the semester and subjects enrolled, they easily equal or often even surpass the cost of tuition in a community college.

I am currently on social security. As a senior, I depend on it, and in addition, I have paid into it my entire working life. It is outrageous to decrease it, especially among seniors.

The President's proposal to cut Social Security benefits to the elderly and disabled veterans is unnecessary, immoral, inhumane, and unjust. Social Security today has a $2.7 trillion surplus and can pay out every benefit owed to every eligible American for the next twenty years. Social Security will be solvent for the next fifty years if we do one simple thing, what the President proposed when he ran for President in 2008: lift the cap on taxable income, starting at $250,000 a year, so that millionaires are paying more into the Social Security trust fund than those who are making $100,000 a year.

Morgan County Humane Society, a non-profit, no kill shelter is trying to get a cell phone tower on our property in Morgan County, just outside of Hartselle, AL. Not only will this provide the shelter with much needed funds to maintain the facility and care for the animals, it will provide the community better coverage in an area with limited coverage. We've been told we need 5,000 signatures for a tower to be considered on our property. Please help us and the animals!
