No cuts to Social SecurityThis is about President Obama's proposal to change the way cost of living increases are calculated for retirees on Social Security. As a person dependent on less than $900 Social Security, the proposed "chained CPI" would decrease cost of living increases for me and my fellow retirees and make those among the least able responsible for decreasing the deficit. This terrible idea should be rejected.3 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Kristee Hinton

Military dependents & Spouses should keep insuranceMany military dependents and spouses (both men and women) get shafted through military health insurance if they get divorced or seperate from their spouse. I've seen too many end up on their own not being able to keep up on their medical care because of lack of insurance. I've had enough patients (men & women) not wanting to leave an abusive relationship to their military spouse because of the insurance.5 of 100 SignaturesCreated by SrA Kelly Goodman

Social Security ReformI believe that getting our fiscal house in order is a prudent and necessary step towards long term stability and strength. However, cutting benefits in social security should not be considered an option. This is a social contract between the Government and its' citizens.2 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Stanley Michael

The GI Bill belongs to the military, not the Veteran's AffairsEvery military member who spends more than 90 days on active duty gets a GI BILL whether it be the Montgomery or Post 9-11. If we fail a class or drop it, we have to pay that money back, but that money is ours. We fought for this country and earned it. I've personally experienced this. We need to fight more for our military who are the ones fighting for this country.5 of 100 SignaturesCreated by SrA Kelly Goodman

Do Not Cut Social SecurityI have paid into Social Security for over 30 years, and I need the small amount I receive each month. Certainly there are other ways to get the money you need from people who have the money to spare. Obama keeps taking from the "little" people. We are just getting by.3 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Sandy Tudor

DO NOT CUT SOCIAL SECURITYSocial Security is not the right place to address the deficit. Tell Obama and your fellow members of Congress not to support any cuts in Social Security and not to change the way cost of living increases for retirees are calculated. My parents are in their 80's and I'll soon retire - so we don't need this cut into how we sustain our lives and pay our bills. FYI - I don't want my parents eating dog food.1 of 100 SignaturesCreated by kris clinkscales

Send drug and alcohol offenders to rehab not prisonIt costs the state about 35 thousand dollars a year to send a person to prison. Drug and alcohol offenders need help which only a rehab clinic can provide. Prison doesn't work for these people that is why there are so many that end up going back over and over. It is time to try something new. Rehab can do a better job at a fraction of the cost to no cost to the state or the tax payers. Our tax money could go to better use!39 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Dorothy Sloan

Front Avenue Garage: Free Parking Garage or Death Trap?Every day and night as I proceed to enter the Front Avenue Garage I take a deep breath and cross my fingers in hopes that I make it to a secure parking spot without encountering, or becoming a part of a head-on collision. This parking garage failed to be constructed with the actual use of vehicles in mind. This is a constant safety issue and I myself have almost gotten into an accident a few times and I have almost gotten knocked down by a car while walking to my dormitory because the driver could not see clearly around the corner.33 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Kayla A.
