  • End Mandatory Mail Order Prescriptions
    Mandatory mail order prescriptions can (and has) led to the dangerous compromise of people's health, well being, and peace of mind. Lost deliveries, untimely deliveries, and compromised medications are the all too frequent result of citizens being forced to receive essential prescriptions from mail order (often from great distances). Local pharmacies are suffering as well from revenue lost to out of state mail order. Please act now to restore our right to choose our own pharmacies. I have been a victim of this injustice.

    President Obama has officially included Chained CPI (Consumer Price Index) in his budget. This represents a direct cut to Social Security benefits. Social Security benefits should go up not down.

  • Say "no" to cost of living cuts for Social Security.
    President Obama proposes a change to the way cost of living increases are calculated for current and future senior citizens. Senior citizens are those 62 years of age and older. As a certified elder law attorney, I have advised over 7,000 senior citizens who rely on Social Security for 40% of their income. The proposed "chained CPI" would substantially decrease cost of living increases creating a hardship for these middle class seniors who faithfully paid into the system throughout their working lifetimes. This punitive idea will create a hardship for these senior Americans and should be rejected.
