Opoose any CPI change to Social Security by Obama

This is about President Obama's proposal to change the way cost-of-living increases are calculated for retirees on Social Security. As a future retiree in need of Social Security, the proposed "Chained CPI" would decrease cost-of-living increases for me and my fellow retirees and make those among the least able responsible for decreasing the deficit. This idea should be rejected.

Do not take any more money from SS or cut our Cost of Living raises which come very seldom.

Require full financial disclosure of all insurance companies and any and all related companies, including offshore subsidiaries. Our homeowners insurance rates are rising very fast and all we hear is excuse after excuse about their financial condition. Without having to present complete and truthful financial disclosure our regulators are flying blind.

Prevent the reduction of social security benefits for those who have paid into the system.

In the past few years I have seen the quality of my children's education deteriorate as teachers and administrators try to cram more and more test prep into the school day in an effort to increase test scores. This test prep eats up valuable instruction time that could be used to teach our children skills they will actually need for college and career readiness like how to organize and write a good essay and how to evaluate information sources. Not only does the testing system provide a fundamentally flawed assessment of our schools but it also stifles teacher's creativity, essentially forcing them to teach to the test.

President Obama is suggesting to cut the social security that all of our retired seniors depend on for living. This cut will effect every citizen in the US. It was hard enough earning a dollar why cut the benefits that were being paid with every single pay check going towards retirement income. Say NO to the cuts on social security.
