Solar energy is taking off on rooftops across the nation and in New England, providing pollution-free energy to homes, businesses, and schools, while helping to build a thriving industry. However, Rhode Island seriously lags in solar energy production compared to other Northeast states. Fortunately, there’s no secret to expanding solar. With ambitious and achievable commitments from Rhode Island lawmakers—and the right policies and programs to back them up—Rhode Island can step up and join the nation’s solar leaders.

My son Munir attends the head start program. He has developmental delays. They have worked so hard and changed the course of his development. He would have had years of struggling without their early intervention. Our childrens education should be our top priority, and these cuts should be stopped. Please consider the future leaders of our country. We need a country filled with strong educated men and women.

The legislation dictates that the government must allow the planting of genetically modified crops even if courts rule they pose health risks. Corporations and distributors do not need to label whether they are or use GMO crops and ingredients. We have a right to know.

Please make harsher laws for doctors who do not document. This can be a mettre of life and death.

Upwards of a million humans were killed, maimed and poisoned by a phony Iraq War. The war was unfunded and has contributed to America's financial collapse and widespread misery among the citizens these criminals pledged to protect.

It's easy for Congress to impose the sequester on the American people. To dictate AUSTERITY in our lives and negatively affect our destiny. Especially because every single Congressmen/women are fully aware that this same AUSTERITY they are imposing on the American people, will never reach their own kitchen tables or affect their own sons and daughters. Don't you think it's time we change that?

There is a significant number of vehicles speeding on our streets that are are used by children, bikers, walkers and other vehicles. Individuals who disregard posting speeding limits are posing a safety hazard for all who use the streets as well as possible vehicle damages. Safety of residents and guests in "SJGC" should be the goal for our entire community.

With 90% of Californians supporting a pathway to citizenship, our state must lead the way on immigration reform. Rather than relying on votes from House members in Mississippi or Iowa, California's 15 Republican members of Congress must provide those votes. Not only does immigration reform make sense from a moral perspective, but study after study shows that legalizing the aspiring citizens all around us will increase economic growth by as much as $1.4 trillion. Help California's GOP congressmen realize their political lives will be in danger if they're on the wrong side of this issue.

President Bush and the Republican Party have done our country a great deal of harm. Reason not to celebrate him.

California Legislature voted by 2/3 to implement Obamacare to the fullest but now, Gov.Brown is holding up negotiations on the bill to expand Medicaid coverage to more than one million Californians. He has 63 pages of amendments, some of which are worse than the proposals of Arizona Governor Jan Brewer's amendments would preserve unnecessary bureaucracy, delay the implementation of electronic medical records, and hinder our ability to hit the ground running on January 1, 2014 -- only 9 months away. The Los Angeles Times, San Jose Mercury News, and the Sacramento Bee all say he's wrong on this.
