New Hampshire could save money if they used common senseThe elderly and disabled should only reapply for food stamps once a year. Look at the waste of time and paper work in a years time that would be saved by the state. Due to hospital appoinments I have to start applying all over again, because I do not have transportation and live about 15 miles from town. (I am going on 64 years old.)2 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Karen Burt

Improve Gun Control Regulationsgun control regulations must be revised to be as strict as possible. I am very much against individual gun ownership and would honestlly prefer no guns in our society. Although I realize that is unrealistic, I am totally in support of the tightest measures possible1 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Michael Lafortezza

Work locally to defend the ConstitutionThere should not be one person in the United States that has their privacy invaded, their property rights ignored, or that is taken forcibly with no due process, by those who should protect the civil liberties that we are guaranteed under the US constitution. Yet many have, under the strength of the Patriot Act. The federal government will not acknowledge this destruction of civil rights, and so we petition state legislators to denounce the Patriot Act. Oregon has had a proud history of disagreeing with federal mandates, and takes invasion of privacy and property rights especially seriously. By acting locally instead of appealing to the federal government, we can at least keep our state free from this unconstitutional act.1 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Laurel Evers

Relative bill of rightsBecause my nephew is a baby and I am the Aunt, I lacked the key requirements that would preserve family ties. D.C.F "Rights"only extend to grandparents/ only those whom have a relationship with the child(ren) in custody. What about babies in care? I am without a solution. Without backing from a said bill ; these family members are deprived visitation rights, next of kinship, and knowledge to the child' well being.7 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Ashley Menwer

Upgrade Our Nation's Electrical Grid System to Avert Possible Long Term OutagesI would like to initiate a petition to have the federal government design and implement a plan to upgrade our nation’s electrical grid system to be safeguarded from possible solar storms or electromagnetic pulse (EMP) attacks. In such a scenario large portions of the country's electrical grid could be knocked out for an extended period of time and unprotected electronic devices would be destroyed. A federal commission was put together in 2001 to assess the possible damage in the case of such an event and the overview of their 2004 executive report was titled “EMP is capable of causing catastrophe for the nation.” As the media are currently propagating such a threat through the news and other programming I suggest we begin safeguarding our nation from such a catastrophe as soon as possible.6 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Kenneth Lizano
