    As a Clinical Social Worker, I'm deeply saddened by the leaders of our country to ignore Mental Health Issues. We need funding now!! Teachers tell us they evaluate and spot children with emotional issues early in school, yet they and their families are not treated due to funding. We cannot ignore these issues any longer. I'm deeply disappointed with the National Association for Social Workers that they, too, are not outspoken about the work that Clinical Workers can provide.   • End age discrimination in hiring for jobs
    I am 55 years old have been unable to find work for the last 3 plus years and I feel a lot of it is because of my age. I want legislations that prohibits this practice under any circumstances including loopholes that allow businesses and corporations to disquise this.

  • Ban Westboro Baptist Church from public events. They should be judged as a hate crime group.
    They should not be allowed to show their hatred, at military funerals. It is a disgrace. They should be reprimanded for hate crimes. My son is in the US Navy. Families should be able to mourn, without these people shouting awful words at them.

    Everyone I know has sleep issues including myself. I think it's time to end this ridiculous practice of changing the clock twice a year. It results in discomfort for many and loss of productivity everywhere.

  • "Guard" Dogs should go to Public Schools
    Lots of people have guard dogs or watchdogs! Imagine a dog who is trained to attack a wild student/crazy who is carrying an assault weapon? A pair or trio of dogs should be able to save lots of student lives. They could also be mascots, grade by grade. Imagine these dogs also can smell drugs.

  • Senator Pryor: Put a Halt to Social Security Cuts.
    We cannot allow any cuts to social security. My husband receives $400.00 a month that we have to live on with three children at home. I have to work to keep paying the bills, keep insurance and help our children get an education. I am concerned when Speaker Boehner is finding it hard to accept tax cuts for those making $250.00 a year when I make $32,000.00 a year and never have gone on a vacation or bought a new car and I am a school teacher serving the needy. I thought our elected officials were our public servents.

  • Pictures, names of killers to cease in media
    In light of the latest horrific tradegy in Newtown, CT. and the massacre in Aurora, CO, I believe that the publishing of any personal information about the suspect should be ceased by all types of media. This action would prevent the horrible experience of seeing the face of these killers unexpectedly by families of the victims. This move would also help the families of the perpetrators who are in most cases, victims too.

  • Congressional Action -Save the Post Office
    Currently, Senate Bill S-1789 was passed and sent to the House. Congress needs to: Refund $50 to $75 billion of overpayments back to the USPS and change the law so we stop requiring the USPS to prefund the Retiree Health Benefit. The USPS employs 550,000 people of which 25 percent are Veterans. Oppose Bill H.R 2309.

  • BAN MERCURY USE IN VACCINES AND ALMAGAMS IN THE UNITED STATES
    Mercury is the 2nd most toxic poison on Earth. WHY would government agencies endorse it is OK to use in things like vaccines , flu shots and amalgams? We excrete the mercury into wastewater and take the Earth and it's creatures with us down the path of death and destruction. I am being poisoned to death by my amalgams, but can't afford the $8,000. to get them out of my mouth. I have children not ready to be without me.
