Budgets have been cut and new policies have been put into place that will no longer allow subsidized daycare payments for children over the age of eight, efective January 2013 additional cuts will effect 300 seven year olds. I am a childcare center owner that is very active in the community. Young mothers that are working hard to overcome their low economic situations are now faced with the dilemma as to how they are going to maintain employment without the assistance with childcare. I am losing ALL of my afterschool children because they are over the age of 8 and after January 2013, I will face more lost because the county will stop paying benefits for 300 additonal 7 year olds.

More than 300 janitors and window washers at O'Hare International Airport are at risk of losing their jobs just days before Christmas this year because Mayor Emanuel is replacing their employer with United Maintenance, a company with a history of undercutting good jobs. Continue unemployment benefits both state and federal, as Colorado federal support is to end on December 29, 2012. I am 57 just lost my job in July, 2012, been on 6 interviews with a great resume in estimating and purchasing and still haven't been hired. Make our jobs STAY here in the USA!

Article I of the Bill of Rights gives us the rights to freely practice religion and the freedom from religion as a governing authority. However, religion wants to overthrow our government and establish itself in the system, legislating it's ideals and forcing the people to live by it's standards. Several States in the Union already have theocratic legislation in place and assess penalties on those who do not recognize a Higher Power or do not practice religion, and require the people to be religious to qualify for a seat in public office.

President Barack Obama has asked Congress to approve $60.4 billion in aid to help East Coast states rebuild after Superstorm Sandy. House Republicans are threatening to hold up this desperately needed aid, demanding cuts in other areas before they will approve it.

In the last few yearsI have lost my home, my biggest investment and two important jobs, but I still pay taxes for the years I had a good job. Many people are suffering in this economy. Congress should take a pay cut to stand with the American people and acknowledge that everyone needs to make personal sacrifices. Tell Congress to do their part by cutting their salaries effective January 2013.
