Currently there is no background check for sales of guns at gun shows. This is a loop hole to by pass any form of mental or legal background check on sales at gun shows or private gun sales. This is an open forum to purchase a gun for those that do not qualify for new gun sales. Without any form of checking who these sales of guns are going to we do not have a clear picture of who's hands they end up in! These sales are done without verifying the mental stability of the buyer and guns are ending up in the hands of those who any society should not tolerate. We currently have laws in place for the sale of new guns to any person in the USA which purchases a new gun and these same guidelines should be followed for the sale of any guns. If a sale of a gun is to take place be it at a gun show or private sale this should not by pass a background check. There should be a means to qualify a persons background on all sales of guns.

As a nation we need to address the massacre killing that is becoming to common place in our country. There needs to a strong movement to understand if the problem is guns, too much free publicity, or something else we as a country can do. The first step is prayer for the families and those affected by any massacre, and prayer for our leaders and citizens to take the proper action.

The only way to beat the N.R.A lobbyists is through a referendum. We, the people, must call for a vote on this issue.

As we all grieve and mourn the loss from today's tragedy that took place in Newton, CT, I can't help but think of why the public places we must utilize to make a living and for our children to recieve an education are not required to have a certain level or system for their protection. We not only need The White House or Congress to pay attention to gun laws, but to implement a system or demand public places such as schools AND daycare centers to put something in place where people aren't able to have access to these places that shouldn't have it. Places such as banks and The White House ensures they have no trespassers; should this not be the same for our children whom rely on us to protect them. Please sign this petition requesting Congress to assist with this problem of inadequate protection in our schools and daycare facilities.

Please encourage President Barack Obama to pass a Federal law requiring Armed guards at every educational institution . The federal court buildings have Armed guards. It is time to protect our children's lives to the same degree. Every child's life is just as precious as the employees of the court system. Please help prevent another tragedy like this from occurring. I can never understand the pain and suffering each parent or loved one effected by this tragedy feels and I am sure if you could prevent this you would. Only a second of your time signing this can make a change to protect our loved ones.

The "fiscal cliff" is actually, a "fiscal slope". Without a deal, the Bush tax cuts expire and the upper 2% will have to again pay income taxes. The senate can then introduce a bill that reinstates the cuts to the middle class. Republicans will have to help pass that bill to avoid further jeopardizing their future elections.
