Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker Do Not Change Same Day Voter Registration RulesWisconsin is one of nine states that allow voters to register at their polling place on the day of the election, and that's often credited with helping make Wisconsin's voting rate one of the highest in the country. Since the Nov. 6, 2012 election, both Walker and incoming Assembly Speaker Robin Vos (R-Rochester) have said they're considering ending the practice, which goes back to 1976 in the state. There are no evidence or facts as to why this existing Wisconsin 1976 rule should be changed.12 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Vivian McLemore

Congress: Stop Making Excuses Not to Confirm Obama's Nomination of Susan Rice as Secretary of State"Your apparent haggling over, what appear to be, baseless trumped-up issues related to such matters as Susan Rice's replacement and confirmation as Secretary of State is both unprofessional and counterproductive. Our national security should be our legislator's top priority."5 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Belinda Ferrell

Limit The Money Spent on Campaign advertisingBillions of dollars were spent on television ads in Las Vegas alone. This money was completely WASTED. Our schools are suffering and people go hungry and jobless while depending on welfare. That money could have been used for programs to help us build a better community. I think a national law should be passed to limit campaign contributions and advertising. The ads are ridiculous propaganda. THis should not be allowed to continue when we all know that it is wrong. Lets force politicans to actually DEBATE and EXPLAIN their positions with a series of national televised debates instead of wasting billions of dollars in ads. It is time for us to make a change in our failing political system. Instead of signing 'no new tax pledges', politicans should sign a " no more than 250,000 spent on advertising" pledge.6 of 100 SignaturesCreated by barret carpenter

LA TRAFFIC: THE CUREWe’ve been coming at our massive traffic problem all wrong. The freeways keep getting bigger, yet the traffic in and around Los Angeles remains abysmal. Wasting billions of dollars researching SoCal’s traffic problem has failed. Spending millions expanding our roads and freeways has failed. Billions wasted talking about train systems has failed. Our existing infrastructure already provides the solution to our traffic problems, as well as environmental and budget difficulties too. We need to implement a smart, efficient and advanced rail system down the middle of every freeway and major road. It will be completely powered by solar energy and riders will pay for the project when they purchase tickets, unlike freeway expansions, which is tax-payer money out the window. This modern rail system will be safe, clean and connected allowing riders to smoothly switch routes at any intersection. This will reduce traffic, pollution and be a model for other cities around the world. Imagine 50% fewer cars on the road and happier commuters, shoppers and travelers. Imagine relaxing on a WiFi-enabled rail system as you commute from the Santa Monica to Downtown, from the Valley to Century City, or from Irvine to Hollywood. The bus system cannot solve this issue, as buses sit in traffic with everyone else. This rail network will be incredibly efficient and, most importantly, beautiful. SIGN IT IF YOU'D RIDE IT! Sign your name below to say “I want this affordable, efficient, traffic-free, environmentally-friendly and beautifully modern train to travel and commute in and around Los Angeles on our existing major roads and freeways.”101 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Jim Miller

Keep General PetraeusFrom what I have heard, General Petraeus is an exceptional general, and as such, it is in the best interests of all of us in the country to have him working for us. Let's not let his personal issues remove him from service he is willing to provide for our country.2 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Marcia Bailey

Congressional Retirement PackageWe, as taxpayers, can not afford the current retirement package (full pay for life) after serving just 2 terms. This is outlandish. Congress says we can't afford "social programs" to benefit their constituents, and yet we can afford their outrageous perks!2 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Cynthia Schreiber

How to help 1 in 4 homeowners at no cost to the taxpayerIt has been 4 years since the financial crisis but more than 25% of mortgages in the U.S. are underwater. It is hard to be optimistic when your home and largest asset is worth less than its loan amount. Today's historically low interest rates would be a godsend for me and millions like me if only we could refinance. The FHA has a streamlined program that allows its nondeliquent borrowers to refinance anytime they choose. Congress should mandate to Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae that a program like this be offered to all its homeowners who are underwater.2 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Teresa Clements

Outrageous Water Bills in Baltimore City ; and forced foreclosure due to low ( as low as $ 250.00...This petition is about unfair water bills in Baltimore and the law that allows the City of Baltimore to foreclose on a home for as little as a $250.00 outstanding water bill. I am a homeowner who occupies a single dwelling home in the city of Baltimore. I am being billed for an average daily consumption of 276 gallons. There are two people currently living in my home, my daughter and I; my grand-daughter is away in school, there are no leaks on my property. I had to pay a $1,500.00 water bill a few years ago at that time I had plumbing replaced from the street leading into my home. The plumbers informed me that the problem was not due to the street to house plumbing. City water is also used by county residents, however they do not have to pay for the use of city water. In closure; I do not operate a business that I would be expected to consume 276 gallons of water per day. If county residents utilize city water they should pay for the portions used by them, and last but not least homeowners living in Baltimore pay enormous water bills but we have continued water main breaks due to neglect of the upkeep of our water structure. I question where and how the money is spent from our bill payments?152 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Betty Merritt
