• Please avoid the fiscal cliff by any means and do you job.
We all have to live within our means and make budgets to pay our bills for our homes, utilities and borrowing to buy a car. As elected officials many decisions in the past were make to borrow money for bailing out wall street and wars that were not paid. It time to do your job and figure out a way to pay the country's bill. Just like I cannot walk away from my mortgage, car bill and VISA, you need to do the same and pay the country's bills. To me it is that simple.

  • Representative Granger: Stand with the Middle Class!!
The time to make a decision and vote on a fiscal deal is fast approaching. We must take this opportunity to end the Bush tax cuts for the top 2%. At the same time, we must protect Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid benefits from any cuts.

  • We are all immigrants.
If my father had not come to the United States I would not be here. He was a migrant/immigrant. He traveled with the crops and made enough money to keep his family, clothed, housed and schooled as well as churched.

  • Secretary Of State
I want Senator Jim Webb of Virginia and Ms. Trudy Rubin of the Phhiladelphia Inquirer for Secretary of State-- it's too big a job for one person-- they have to run around to every crisis in the world etc.-- and Ms. rubin really really knows what goes on in the Middle East --whichis such a big problem today-- and Senator Webb knows what goes on in the world from times immemorable-- like about Haddrian's Wall and about why the whites in Appelachia are POOR-- because the Plantation owners didn't hire them --because they had the cheap labor of the enslaved Blacks for sevefral hundred years etc.etc-- Senator Jim Webb knows all this-- and Trudy Rubin knows the Middle East -- and they both know enought to consult Huntsman about China-- ms. Susan Rice may be good for Secy. Of Statre-- but I just really know nothing about her-- and I think the Republicans are almost "forcing " O'Bama into having to support her-- with their rediculous objections-- but it realy is a matter that we all should be looking into -- in a way-- as much as I trust O'Bama's judgement-- and I certainly do-- But Secy of State is such an important job-- and prob ably more than one person is really needed for it-- I want to tell the President to consider a combination of Senator Jim Webb and Ms. Trudy Rubin -- a DUET-- for Secretary of State-- unless her realreally knows for sure that Susan Rice is perfect and isn't just being forced to defend her against these insane Republican attacks.

"Murdoch has long eyed the LA Times (and Chicago Tribune), the paper reported. But any attempt by the media mogul to go after the two newspapers would have to get approval from regulators." - Reuters - Sat Oct 20, 2012

  • Uniform Standard of Care for Physicians-stop HMO and Insurance Carrier Abuse!
Congress should mandate that ANY PHYSICIAN WHO USES HIS/HER MEDICAL LICENSE IN A CAPACITY IN WHICH THE PHYSICIAN'S DECISION(S) OR ACTION(S) AFFECT THE CARE OF THE PATIENT SHOULD BE HELD TO THE SAME STANDARD(S) OF CARE AS THE PHYSICIAN(S) WHO DIRECTLY CARE FOR THE PATIENT. Currently, physicians who are hired by insurance carriers, HMO's and other health care entities for the purpose of COST-CONTAINMENT are not held to the same standard(s) of care as the physician(s) who care directly for the patient. Were Congress to mandate a uniformly high standard of care for all physicians who use their medical license to influence patient care, decision-making standards would improve and patients would benefit dramatically.

  • Do not make cuts toMedicaid or Social Security
The elderly have contributed to social security during their working years. Telling them they have to take a reduction for something that is supposed to be there for them would be a real slap in the face to the elderly. Furthermore, the elderly barely get enough medical coverage as it is and any kind of reduction is totally unacceptable.

  • Protect the Middle Class in the Fiscal Showdown
The middle class, the hardest hit during this recession, is fighting for survival. We must end the Bush Tax Cuts for the top 2% without punishing the middle class. We here in Boulder will deliver this Petition to our Congressional leader on December 10th. We will meet at Representative Polis' Office where we will hold a rally and deliver his Petition. Sign up here to attend: http://pol.moveon.org/event/events/event.html?event_id=136199
