• Ensure Integrity of Legislation Across States And Government Be Pure from Campaign Donor's Financ...
An end is needed to allow legislation to be passed or obstructed based on party donor affiliation. These affiliations are directly related to lobbyists whose interests go beyond the common good. The Supreme Court needs to ensure Bills are not put forward or obstructed, and prevent direct correlation to campaign donors who are clear to gain or lose financially.

  • Gov. Jindal: Accept the Medicaid Expansion Program
Thousands of your elderly constituents, poor families, low-income adults, and poor children will be affected immensely by your refusal to accept the Medicaid Expansion Program. I have nieces and nephews who will no longer be able to access medical care due to your irrational decision to balk at the President's plan to help our citizens, those of whom are in the greatest need of assistance. Gov. Jindal you can and should reverse your decision to refuse acceptance of this program.

  • Californians Demand Funding for an Earthquake Early Warning System That Would Likely Save Thousan...
USGS has developed an Earthquake Early Warning System that could give Californians a 10-60 second warning before the Big One hits. That may not sound like much time, but it's enough time to stop trains, delicate surgical procedures, shut down nuclear power plants, keep planes from landing, take people in elevators to the nearest floor, and for people everywhere to grab their loved ones and take shelter. The Japanese had a similar early warning system they attribute to saving thousands of lives. Mexico has one too. But State and Federal budget cuts mean it may take a catastrophic disaster before the funding is approved.

  • Ban Assault Weapons - An Issue No One Is Talking about
I am tired of watching people die when they are just trying to live an everyday life. Unfortunately the NRA is in the pocket of Congress approximately 80% Republican and 20% democrat - I think this is too hot of a button for either candidate to handle - however we cannot sweep it under the rug. What did it for me was watching a Today show piece not long after the massacre in Aurora Colorado where people could buy assault weapons exchanging in store parking lots even Walmart even a missle launcher. I am personally involved only in the respect that I live in the United States of America and I ve had enough.

  • Reinstate Usury Law's Across the USA
Usury law's have been done away with or weakened to allow banks to charge outrageous interest rates. Congress should write new laws reinstating the Usury Law's and the .Justice Department should have the ability to enforce any Usury law's still on the books.

  • A Case for Water Fluoridation as Toxic Ingestion
What does it say about the state of our water supplies and local political power structures when the public is compelled to accept water fluoridation amid persistent controversy? Are you ingesting fluoridated water – or do you live in the areas of Portland where residents may soon be railroaded by city government into having toxic fluoride added to your water supply? You might care to be informed beyond hype, propaganda, “science”, conspiracy theory or special interests. As is so often the case; follow the money. And you will also follow controversy. But the upshot is becoming; do our public servants have the right to compel the public to ingest fluoride – or any other such controversial ingredient dumped wholesale into your water supply? Some articles of opposition to water fluoridation have already been removed from the web. Other of those whose opposition squares off directly with those who seem to feel they have the right to impose their own propaganda or “science” have vilified documented research proving that fluoride is indeed a toxin.

  • Term limits for all public office
It is ludicrous to impose term limits on the executive level of government and not to impose the same limits upon other elected officials This is a petition to limit publicly elected officials to two terms in each office at the federal and state level. Becoming a senator should not be a life-long career for any persons. Rather a honor and duty which one has the possibility to fulfill. Being elected to represent the public is an honor not a career path. What power will a filibuster have if that official only has 2 terms MAXIMUM to serve in any specifically elected office. Keep the public sphere public and end career politicians. This is the USA not ancient Rome. New voices are integral to the success of the democratic/republic process Perhaps this will be incentive for less greed in this branch, perhaps it will be more. But this is a strong message from the people. You have limits now.

  • Break the gridlock in Congress
I am sick and tired of Congress not working together to solve the problems of the country. The Republicans are trying to make the president fail and are just voting on a party line. We the people need to unite and remind them that they need to do what is right for the country. I hope both Republicans and Democrats will join me in expressing outrage at the behavior of our supposed representatives of the people.
