• MAKE CHILD SUPPORT POSSIBLE !
Child support has been a photo-op for ambitious politicians who are eager to collect scalps at the expense of community and family stability. These unscrupulous politicians erode the tax base, while getting their name in the newspapers - in a vote-buying scheme which benefits no one except for the private prison industy. It is time to stop criminalizing millions of decent American men who are harmless, and who should be protected by Government in the USA.

  • Remove "secret-Republican operative" Erin Burnett from CNN
We rely on CNN for unbiased reporting in an environment where a good chunk of Americans are influenced by faux-news organizations such as Fox News. Erin Burnett was hired among a group of other extreme right-wingers by Ken Jautz, the promoter who gave ubernut Glenn Beck his first TV show and who has caused CNN's ratings to suffer as more and more get sick of the biased reporting. Erin Burnett seems to be auditioning for Fox News and has been notoriously biased in her coverage in a way that damages CNN's reputation of being fair. Her quotes are now featured in RNC attack ads against Democrats. She acknowledged that Vice Presidential candidate Ryan's speech was full of lies, but proceeded to praise him as "precise, clear and passionate." (http://www.mediaite.com/tv/cnn-utterly-fails-at-calling-paul-ryan-a-liar-or-caring-that-he-is-one/) She repeatedly argued that Romney's "charity" giving should be considered equivalent to a tax payment in calculating his rate. She attacked "Occupy Wall Street" protestors in a malicious manner. As Cenk of "Young Turks" noted, "There isn't a Republican talking point that Erin Burnett didn't want to make out with."

  • Jobs for Veterans Program
Senator Lamar Alexander voted to block one billion dollars to fund the Jobs for Veterans Program. Why when the State of Tennessee has so much homelessness and unemployment and could benefit from these programs? I had two sons serve in the Army Infantry Division during Iraqi Freedom and when they returned home they could not find jobs. Either they didn't have the skills or the qualification requirements for the better paying jobs. There was no special training programs nor anyone to help them adjust to civilian life. That is why this money is so important to our veterans returning today that they get the skills and training they need to find a good, well paying job. If these funds are allowed and these programs are in place, our state will benefit with improvement in unemployment and homelessness. It's a win, win. Senator Alexander, please take the time to reconsider your vote.

  • Stop abuse in the workplace
According to the Workplace Bullying Institute, women bosses abuse female employees about 80% of the time. I am an older Black woman and one of over 25 Black & Hispanic female victims terminated as a result of workplace bullying by a Black female executive over the past 10 years. Like Domestic Violence - a crime in the home, workplace bullying is about power and control and is a crime in the workplace. It is not a private employer/employee problem. If their behavior is not stopped, school yard bullies grow up to be batterers and workplace bullies. If the bully is the boss, abuse in the workplace becomes the unhealthy norm, negatively impacting the bottom line. We're calling on Governor Deval Patrick and Massachusetts state legislatures to pass the Healthy Workplace Act now.

  • Debate Moderators: Call out known lies repeated by candidates
In the first presidential debate, Romney delivered a storm of lies. If Obama has respond to each one in two-minute segments, there would have been no time to present his position. In such cases, where lies have already been fact-checked by authoritative sources, the moderator should be sufficiently informed to call out the lying candidate.

  • Education Reform
Mitt spoke about the Educational System not working however through Race to The Top President Obama has done so much to help to improve education. It bothers me that Mitt has criticized education without providing any real answers on improving it. Destroying public education and replacing it with Charter Schools/Private Parochial Schools which undermine the quality of life of teachers isn't an answer.

  • Investigate Whether Strategic Allied Consulted Engaged in Voter Registration Fraud in North Carolina
We demand that state of North Carolina open an investigation into whether the Republican-backed firm Strategic Allied Consulting engaged in voter registration fraud in North Carolina. Strategic Allied Consulting has been accused of filing fraudulent registration forms in nearly a dozen Florida counties, and may have done the same in North Carolina. This should be done immediately - prior to the 2012 November election.

  • Response to UW's Fall Fees (UAW Local 4121)
Once again, the Student Facilities Renovation (SFR) and Universal U-Pass fees showed up on ASEs' Fall quarter tuition/fee statements, violating our collective bargaining agreement as decided by a third-party arbitrator in May 2012. The financial hardship presented by these fees is significant--up to 57% of our first paycheck is paid back to our employer! The University’s decision to delay implementation of the arbitrator’s award is unacceptable. Make your voice heard -- UW works because we do! • "ADVANCED BACK AND NECK CARE” Chandler, AZ Don’t Lie for A Sexual Predator
I was sexually assaulted by a male massage therapist named Leslie on Sept. 22, 2012. Dr. Michael Boyson admitted twice that they've had the same complaints (plural) from other women (plural). The owner, Dr. Scott Asay also stated that they've had complaints from other women. Leslie was fired on Sept. 25. According to the Chandler Police Dr. Asay stated that they've had only one other complaint against him and it was not of a sexual nature. He LIED, and not only is he going to go to the next massage therapy office and assault again, he has two doctors actually protecting him.

  • Justice for Connecticut Rape Victim
In Connecticut, the supreme court overturned the conviction of Richard Fourtin Jr. who had been sentenced to 6 years in prison in 2008 for sexually assaulting a woman with severe cerebral palsy, on the grounds that since she did not express her non consent, the sex was consensual. This petition states that there should be no law which could be interpreted this way; Connecticut should immediately rewrite their legislation with regards to definitions of rape and what defines consent, so that something this disgusting will never happen again. The woman in this case, name withheld for privacy, cannot verbally communicate, and the defense argued that because she did not kick or bite or scratch, she was giving consent. This shouldn't be acceptable in any way shape or form as a defense, and under the current law it is. The law must therefore be changed. • GET TOUGH!
Jim Lehrer should be ashamed of the job he supposedly did as a so-called "Moderator" and should be called out on it! As such, President Obama needs to and should go on the Offensive from now on, as Governor Romney showed that he was no different than the rest of the Republicans by not showing any respect for the President, by not allowing the Moderator or President Obama to have the last word, as the rules were stipulated and as common sense and gentlemen usually abide by! He showed his true colors of wanting to be a bully, as usual, and not really "reach across the aisle" to Democrats, as he mentioned, when he couldn't even stop talking everytime the President had the last word! No wonder why the President had to keep smiling and "ask" for a rebuttal from the moderator, and then ask the Moderator to move on, if Governor Romney couldn't stop trying to have the last word, just like an immature, childish, spoiled brat likes to do when arguing with authority figures!
