• Reinstate Weekend Early Voting In Ohio
We live in an area where there is little to no public transportation and where people do not have the luxury of having Election Day off to vote. In order to encourage widespread participation in our democratic process, we need to reinstate the weekend early voting times that have been taken away from us.

  • Early Voting in Ohio - reinstate weekends
This petition is about early voting in Ohio and to have it extended for weekends until Voting Day on November 6. Ohio Secretary of State Jon Husted provided early voting, but eliminated weekends; not looking at people would work/have obligations on weekdays and can't get out and vote. That is why I am here to write this petition. Please sign and make your voice heard and your vote count!

  • Change the absurd early voter hours in Ohio
The Republican leadership of Ohio, in a very partisan move, have restricted the early voting hours this election year to 8-5 M-F, effectively making this a useless option for most working voters. Please join me in petitioning Secretary of State Jon Husted, who is responsible for this attempt to discourage voters, to shift their staff to provide broader hours of operation. I'm almost certain that they could adjust people's schedules to allow evening and weekend voting without increasing expenses, if they were only willing to be creative instead of obstructive. It should be easy for all Ohioans to vote, not just those who are wealthy and powerful enough to choose their own daily schedules.

  • Rep. Bill Johnson: Publicly call on Secretary of State Jon Husted to allow weekend early voting i...
Secretary of State Jon Husted is limiting the rights of Ohio citizens by not allowing weekend early voting throughout the state. Elected officials like Representative Johnson should show that they represent the people of their districts and not their political parties or special interests, and demand that Husted open up weekend voting to all Ohioans.

  • Harry Reid: Senate Simple Majority - say no to fillibuster
We saw last term now the Republicans stifled every good idea with the fillibuster. That can change if Harry Reid announces that all issues will be decided on by a simple majority. He didn't do it 4 years ago and see what happened. Let's remind him again, and again.

  • Insurance rates and plates
I think that the Government needs to lower the prices of the insurance premiums for drivers and also the price they charge to renew plates(small pieces of paper). Yes I have been affected by these outrageous amounts. I have been driving for over 50 years and have a Perfect Driving Record, and this is the first time I have not been able to get Insurance or plates because of the prices required. I think it is a shame how the people ar getting robbed.

  • Change the Law for Careless Driving that Takes an Innocent Life!
On March 26th, 2012 my Daughter in Law who was 6 months pregnant was killed in an auto accident. The lady who caused this accident that devastated our family walked away with 2 Misdemeanors, 1 for Careless and Imprudent and the other crossing the center line. This lady should have faced Involuntary Manslaughter and lost her drivers license at the least. She received a fine and 48 hours in jail and Our family was left broken,a mother to suffer, a young husband losing his soulmate, her 3 year old daughter left without her mommy. This law needs to be reviewed so that people who are careless have to face up to their actions and hopefully learn from it so there will be a change and no other family will suffer the way we have.

  • North Carolinians demand labeling of GMO's
We all deserve to know what's in the food we eat. GMO testing has raised substantial evidence that consuming GMO's causes major health problems. We have the right to know what we're feeding our families.
