Not after fighting so damn hard for our rights for so many years. If abortion and miscarriages are going to be felonies, these people will not be able to vote. They will not have a right to speak their peace, which we have fought for, for DECADES. •Teen pregnancy in Arkansas is twice as high as the national average, and you cannot tell us that adoption is an option with a failing foster care system housing over 400,000 kids. •To everyone here: remember as we move forward with this movement— the Supreme Court does not represent the majority of Americans, who support abortions. •And to everyone who thinks overturning Roe V Wade will make abortions go away or make them less accessible: All you’re doing is killing more people.

Zander Moricz, an 18-year-old student at Pine View School, is a plaintiff in the "Don't Say Gay" lawsuit and his school’s first openly-gay Class President. School administration informed him that he was not permitted to reference his activism or role in the lawsuit in his graduation speech. If he were to do so, his microphone would be cut off and the ceremony would be brought to a halt. This is not the beginning of the administration's opposition to his LGBTQ+ advocacy. Upon discovering that he was organizing a Say Gay walkout, all posters advertising the event were ripped from the walls and they instructed him to shut the event down–leveraging the threat of school security. He held the walkout anyways, and it became Sarasota County’s largest protest. Now, he needs our help. Zander issued a call to action on Twitter that has since gone viral, urging Florida high school seniors to order free “Say Gay” stickers to wear at their graduation ceremonies. While hundreds of students responded, rallying behind the cause, the Sarasota County School Board still issued a statement explaining that, “a graduation should not be a platform for personal political statements,” and claiming to be prepared to “take appropriate action”.

Democratic senators just tried to pass a new law to protect all Americans’ constitutional right to an abortion, regardless of their zip code. An abortion protection law is absolutely necessary now that the Supreme Court is poised to overturn Roe v. Wade, but the vote failed — with Joe Manchin casting a decisive anti-abortion vote along with all 50 Republicans. Even if Manchin had voted yes, the bill would have “failed” due to the filibuster rule that requires 60 votes for the Senate to close debate. But the Senate can amend that rule any time they like by a simple majority vote. The filibuster is fundamentally undemocratic because it grants just a few individuals disproportionate power. It's time for Congress to eliminate the filibuster to protect democracy!

This is important for all of us to speak up to make change on this property and for the City of Norfolk to be held accountable for our total losses on our vehicles.

Everyone should want to stop all this violence in the black community. We are losing our children to this senseless violence.

The most important factor is traffic accidents at intersections, drivers running traffic signals when the traffic signal is red. Saving lives is top priority to our citizens.

Now we’re being threatened with unsafe sex that will cause a spread of infections and diseases all over the U.S. and it’s complying states. They’re telling us we are incubators. That we are nothing more than the set of ovary’s in our body’s. That even with the current rights we have, they can still take them away. Women live in fear everyday. Fear of the man waiting outside the grocery store, fear of the man walking our same pace on the sidewalk, fear of our male teachers, etc. But now we have to fear the government and our state governors. The individuals who are set up in order to protect our rights and freedoms. Again I’ll say that it is perfectly fine being pro life! The important part is being pro choice for everyone else. I’m hoping we can put our religion aside and remember that this is a crime against humanity.

If we don’t do something now, the worst can happen

Just a few months ago, it looked like President Biden was close to finally achieving his top legislative priority: protecting the right to vote for all Americans. But 16 months into Biden’s presidency, Americans — especially Black Americans — are still being denied the right to vote. Congress must pass the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act right now, before it’s too late. Click here if you agree. What happened? The title of Rolling Stone’s postmortem says it all: “How Joe Manchin Knifed the Democrats — and Bailed on Saving Democracy.” Joe Manchin pulled a bait-and-switch on our democracy by pretending to be amenable to passing vital voting rights protections with a filibuster exemption just for as long as it was politically expedient. Then, Manchin revealed his opposition to two cornerstones of Biden’s agenda — voting rights and the Build Back Better agenda — one after the next. We can overcome Manchin by mobilizing the rest of Congress to prioritize voting rights legislation now, and not simply sit there and accept Manchin’s obstruction. All Members of Congress, regardless of partisan affiliation, need to take a stand for the fundamental democratic right to vote!
