Every citizen has the right to vote. With the Republicans sabotaging the Post Office and casting doubt upon its ability to deliver the absentee ballots, we citizens should be able to rely on certified individuals to pick up the ballots of those who cannot vote in person and bring in the votes. In states like Alabama that are closing down polls, using intimidation on voters who show up, and making citizens travel for long distances to get to the polls this can be the answer. We must mobilize quickly. Lets all help to get in the vote!!! We can do this! We can protect our democracy with a new American citizen Pony Express!

Trump is trying to starve the Post Office to swing the election

Shortly following the announcement of Kamala Harris as Biden’s running mate. Newsweek ran an article by John Eastman questioning Harris’ natural citizenship and eligibility to be vice president. Immediately, this sparked outrage as many called this out for what it is: the latest in the constant attacks against people of color questioning their citizenship, patriotism and American-ness There is no question that Kamala Harris, an American citizen born in Oakland, California, is eligible to be vice president of the United States. It shouldn’t require affirmation. But evidently Newsweek needs to be told to assert this clear fact. Instead of retracting Eastman’s false claims following an outpouring of outrage from its readers, Newsweek doubled down on its failures and published an editorial denying the racist and birtherist nature of the attacks. Newsweek writes in its editorial, “No one is questioning Harris' place of birth or the legitimacy of an obviously valid birth certificate.” In fact, Eastman’s article is titled, “Some questions for Kamala about eligibility.” It is reprehensible for Newsweek to publish such hateful vitriol, and to provide a platform for harmful conspiracy theories hurled at people of color. Newsweek’s deplorable decision is particularly troubling given the xenophobic and racist climate in the United States, further fueling racist attacks on America’s first Black woman to run for the office of Vice President. Eastman’s claims are false and fail to uphold the Constitution as it has been understood in policy and practice. Newsweek attempts to defend its choice by stating, “leading law schools have long entertained debates between competing scholars about the original public meaning of the Citizenship Clause.” Newsweek is not a legal publication, nor are its readers largely Constitutional scholars. It is a mainstream publication that is giving the space and platform for Eastman to make racist and birtherist attacks on Harris as a Black Indian woman. Newsweek must retract its editorial, denounce the racist conspiracy theories at the heart of Eastman’s article, and give them no space in their pages.

To hopefully put "Newsweek" out of business.

It is an important safety issue for our students.

Everyone knows that the income payroll tax funds Social Security and Medicare -- two vitally important programs for Americans. Cutting, reducing, or "defraying" these taxes will decimate these two popular and badly needed programs for seniors; seniors who have paid into these funds all of their working lives. Trump and the GOP have already decimated American tax reveues through their tax cut for billionaires and big corporations -- revenues badly needed for education, healthcare, combatting climate change, funding the Postal Services, to name a few needs of a healthy and vibrant democratic society. Don't let him decimate Social Security and Medicare as well.

As medical professionals we are committed to our community’s health and welfare. Serious injuries caused by police violence will come to our attention especially in the emergency room. We need a mandatory reporting mechanism that will lead to prevention of these serious injuries and deaths.

This is important because the man who terminated his job did so wrongfully and unjustly. He did not deserve to lose his job and this is being disputed with H.R. He needs proof that he is a hard working reliable employee who did nothing wrong to be terminated.

Bringing in competition where needed, as well as holding the company accountable for not offering more affordable rates for something that is a necessity (especially with home schooling during the pandemic), should not be allowed! They're taking advantage of their customers during a very trying time for everyone. Homes should not have to pay over $100/mo for internet when other companies offer the same, if not better service, for half the price! We, the people demand that Buckeye Broadband offer better rates and service. We also would like more options to create and maintain competition amongst several companies.

I believe 12 yr olds are still children and do not have the maturity or education to consent to a sexual encounter.

While the unemployment rates have skyrocketed, so has the amount of money owed to landlords. Simply making it harder to evict people is NOT stopping the bills from overflowing! Many people and families will not be able to catch up on their rent and will be evicted. Not only will this cause a crash in the economy but the homeless population will supersede anything we’ve seen thus far. Housing is a basic human right and our country must help with this atrocity that can be prevented with proper steps.

Since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic, public health experts have called for a nationally-coordinated testing plan backed by a serious investment as the only way to track and confront the virus. As other countries have tamed the spread, America has not—in part because Trump has decided not to invest in such a plan, as he's instead contradicted public health guidance, refused to wear masks, promoted false cures, and denied the severity of the pandemic. Now it's reported that Jared Kushner was in charge of developing a national testing plan—but when political operatives within the Trump team thought infections and deaths would hit "blue states" with Democratic governors the hardest, they didn't push the plan. They were content to let Democratic governors take the blame. The plan "went poof into thin air." Without a robust national plan in place, states have been left to fend for themselves. And people have had to wait in line for hours on end to get tested, and then wait several more days or weeks to get results—during which time they could have already spread the virus to others. Kushner is a privileged, spoiled, incompetent adviser to Trump who never should have been in charge of anything, especially a massive public health crisis.
