The American public needs to realize that they have the most power to change this country by controlling where they spend their money. If people would join forces and only buy from responsible (in every way) companies / corporations, the public could run corpoartions out of the country that didn't pay their fair share of taxes, control the government by purchasing them, weren't environmentally responsible and participated in off shoring our jobs.

The Republicans are telling lies about the Affordable Care Act, which they coin "Obama Care". They tout it as a jobs killer and that it will substantially add to the federal debt. The truth is that this act has saved children's lives (insurance companies can't deny coverage for pre-exisitng conditions, and will expand this to adults in 2014), provided free needed medical services, including birth control and mammograms for women, allows your kid up to age 25 to be covered on your policy, and demands that health insurance companies return 80% of customers' paid premiums on actual health care services incurred. It promotes competition among insurance companies and hospitals so that your health care bills stop skyrocketing.This is just a partial list. Check out the Affordable Care Act provisions for yourself on line.

All bar associations in California are frauds, especially the California Bar Association. They were created to defraud the public, to prevent victims from demanding attorneys be held accountable for their crimes. They were created by attorneys, are financed by attorneys, and are the reason why so many attorneys are career criminals. Every member of every bar association is aware of the scam and all must be prosecuted and held accountable to their victims.

The President has asked for them, the media have asked for them, and fellow Republicans have asked for them. Still, Mitt Romney has refused to fully release his tax returns like every other candidate has done for decades. Maybe he'll do it if the people ask. Help us get enough signatures that he can't ignore us.

My only option for retirement is a 401K. Even though my employer matches 50% (up to 4%) of my investment, I often lose money in a volatile market. Even the 'safest' investment which was supposed to carry no risk, now has a risk disclaimer. For those of us who prefer to not invest in the financial markets and who are content with a 50% match on our investment - a direct deposit into a FDIC retirement account would better fit our needs.

This petition is for the State of OHIO to recognize so called African-Americans who understand their lost/stolen birthright as the Indigenous Moors of the America's and Northwwest Africa. African-American's were stripped of their culture, heritage, nationality and spirituality.

Jermaine is a 6 year old boy happy, outgoing, funny, healthy and extremely smart boy. We moved to CA in June 2011 with his dad's permission and court as well. Jermaine went to NJ to spend summer vacation with dad as agreed in court order on June 2012 and his dad has filed for SOLE CUSTODY. He claims that I that I have neglected Jermaine, due an incident that had happened at an after school program. The after school program had clearly stated that they would report this incident immediately. The after school program, failed to make any reports to CPS and Police. ( I learned about this recently). My son's dad is blaming me for not reporting to the CPS and Police. I trusted these facilities because they are State Mandated Reporters. In addition, I live with a single mom of a 6 year old boy and he claims the house I share is unfit for my son because we share a room but sleep in separate beds. In addition, he has not paid child support in nearly two years! The Judge in NJ is not releasing Jermaine until further investigation of CPS and Police Department of California. I was notified by CPS and Police Department that they cannot do any further investigations unless Jermaine is back home! Lastly, Jermaine is scheduled to start second grade on August 29th, 2012. Let's BRING JAY HOME!

I think grandparents need their rights back.Most grandparents have their grandkids but yet have no rights to do anything.

Morton Grove officials havde negotiated a contract with Lakeshore Waste Services to build a waste transfer station near Niles West High School. There has been little to no communication with the community about this issue. This is a dirty deal done under the table. It will bring tons of waste, stench and vermin into Morton Grove. It will increase traffic congestion in a residential area.

Searching for a home or apartment to live in can be a hassle when you own an "aggressive breed." As the owner of a German Shepherd, I should know. However, any logical person can understand that it's not the dog or breed, but the owner and the way the pet is raised. It's time to stop blaming the wrong end of the leash and accept dogs for what they are instead of discriminating against them (as people do to one another). Any breed can be aggressive.

Through social media my eyes have been opened to the amount of animal abuse that takes place in our state of Michigan. It breaks my heart seeing poor innocent animals abused and their abusers getting away with it or being minimally convicted, hence why this issue continues to grow. We need to step up the level of punishment for those who abuse animals and crack down on this ever increasing issue.

If Todd Akin is being asked to leave his race, then surely Paul Ryan, his partner in changing rape laws has to go as well.
