Stop Police Brutality and False ArrestsPolice brutality is on the rise, and we, the general populace, along with our Constitution, guaranteeing us certain protection, are under attack. A false arrests disrupts your life, livelihood and places you in danger of imprisonment. Lawyers fees to defend you can be burdensome. Judges look at the police report, and make decisions affecting your life depending on it, no matter if it is a complete fabrication.17 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Valda DeDieu

Iowa State Fair Board: Publicly Denounce Hank Williams, Jr.'s Ugly Remarks Made During His August...Hank Williams Jr. played to a crowd of nearly 8,500 Friday night, August 17th, at the Iowa State Fair Grandstand. Following the song “We Don’t Apologize For America” a chant of “USA, USA” broke out amongst the crowd. Williams smiled, telling the crowd that he was their mouth piece, adding: “We’ve got a Muslim president who hates farming, hates the military, hates the U.S. and we hate him!” The Fair Board had to have known what they were signing on for when they booked this performer. They apparently did so with no regard for the values celebrated by the Iowa State Fair. Let them know that they need to publicly denounce Williams' ugly remarks and apologize to the people of Iowa for including this performer in this year's Grandstand line-up. The Board needs to acknowledge its serious lapse in judgment in scheduling this show and to promise that Hank Williams, Jr. will not be welcomed back to the Fair in the future.6 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Amy Colony

Free Jabin BoganMy son Jabin Bogan has been imprisoned in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico since April 17, 2012 for simply making a wrong turn. Jabin is a truck driver who was delivering cargo to the El Paso, Texas area on the 17th when he inadvertently ended up on the U.S./Mexico border. Although U.S. border agents directed him to enter the "yellow zone" on the Mexican side and make a "U" turn, Mexican authorities arrested him for carrying several boxes of live ammunition among the other cargo he was hauling. None of which was designated for Mexico which his manifest documents clearly show. What also is clear is that so far, we've only gotten "lip service" from our local elected officials in Texas. Meanwhile Jabin has spent four months in a Mexican prison, wondering why his government does not care to get him freed.51 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Aletha Smith

Patients and pharmacy's protection from PBM'sMost people don't realize it, but their insurance card that they use to pay for prescriptions generates incredible profits for the issuers of the cards, the Pharmacy Benefit Managers (PBM's) How do they do this? By reimbursing your pharmacist less than it costs him to fill your prescriptions! In many cases, the reimbursement received from the PBM (plus the patient's copay) total less than the acquisition cost to the pharmacy for the drug, not to mention any consideration for pharmacy overhead expenses. The pharmacy's ability to negotiate with the PBM stops before the point at which the pharmacy breaks even on the transaction. Reimbursement for extra services provided by the pharmacy (emergency service, delivery, time spent on the phone with PBM's who won't authorize refills of a patient's prescripton, is totally absent and non-negotiable. Additionally, often after your pharmacist has spent his non-reimbursed time and effort to assure that you get your medication, the PBM will notify the patient that henceforth they will be required to use the PBM's own pharmacy, and receive their medication by mail, which results in the patient receiving their refills too late, and having heat and cold sensitive drugs exposed to harmful weather conditions. This is an impingement on patients' rights, a danger to their health and can result in the pharmacy losing core business to the PBM's, who still must rely on the neighborhood pharmacy to be around when the patient requires a new medication quickly. Call on Congress to pass legislation to assure fair reimbursement to the pharmacists who have for years, provided prompt and effective service, even in emergency situations. Stop PBM's from mandating mail-order prescriptions.12 of 100 SignaturesCreated by David Kammer RPh, FACA

Bicycle Spaces and Car SpacesWhereas most of our Country has many months and in some cases the entire year when bicycles could should be used as a significant means of transportation back and forth to: school, work, shopping malls/other stores and as a more general mode of transportation. Whereas many Americans continue to use fossil fuel cars for transportation and a significant saving could be assured by the use of bicycle power Whereas the use of a bicycle promotes health especially in weight reduction in younger populations were we have seen an alarming weight increase in part due to the semi-seditarian lifestyle of many Americans we can start to check said increases in weight and reduce them.3 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Frank Mc Mahon

Stop The Attacking Political AdsI don't know about you, but I am fed up with all the ads we are bombarded with during our election process. The only way these campaigning tactics have affected me is to discourage me from even voting. Let's put We The People back in our election process and demand that Congress pass a bill mandating that all candidates raise non-partisan promotional funds which can only be used to educate and inform rather than attack and demean so that ALL American citizens are allowed the freedom to choose who they wish to see in office.3 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Cynthia S. Fluoride free PortlandFluoride is banned in almost all European countries (except Ireland & England). Many communities here in the US have fought against it as well. I know from experience that fluoride is ineffective in strengthening tooth enamel. After 1 1/2 years of using prescription concentrated fluoride paste, my teeth made no progress. After 5 months of not using fluoride, while increasing consumption of healthier foods (ie. green vegetables, whole grains), my enamel became significantly stronger. Fluoride is a drug. By fluoridating our water, our government is not allowing Portlanders to have a choice in their own health decisions. Research has shown that fluoride is inconsequential in preventing tooth decay. Worse, it may hinder cognitive development in youth (according to a recent Harvard medical study). Please join our efforts in making Portland fluoride free!506 of 600 SignaturesCreated by Frances Quaempts-Miller
