The State of Nebraska should re-evaluate the foster care system.I strongly believe that the State of Nebraska needs to re-evaluate the foster care system because they are too quick in pulling children out of the home when they don't need to be taken away. Yet, there are numerous others that are left alone in very serious and dangerous conditions however the State of Nebraska lets those children stay in the home. However, for a dirty house you get your children taken away and when you maintain it for a long time they think of other hoops for you to jump through as if you did something like seriously abusing them when that's not the case.3 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Mary Tax Tzunun

Congress–Reset to factory defaultsThe greatest threat that we Americans face today is the career politician. Politicians get elected to represent constituents from their home state, but far too often they arrive in Washington and, although they may have had good intentions, they are sucked up into the whirlpool of corporate lobbyists and special interests groups and a system of career politicians who have forgotten who they work for. Somewhere along the line, Congress has turned from a group of elected people “Of the people, by the people, and for the people”, into a group of elitist who do whatever they must to remain in power. When and where did they get the idea that if you don’t agree completely, you don’t have to do anything? If you or I did that, we’d be unemployed in a heartbeat. Congress is at a stalemate, bogged down in Ideological mud, and everybody is slinging it. It is frozen, much like my computer sometimes is. When my PC freezes, I hit control/alt/delete and reboot it. That is what this country needs; to reboot or restart. How do we do it? Start with the brain, the idea center where it all begins: Congress. Do this, and then sit back and watch how fast they can overcome their ideological differences and reach across the aisles.295 of 300 SignaturesCreated by Dean Lynch

Bank of America, Improve your Short-Sale ProceduresAs a Realtor, I have four (4) clients in the unfortunate position of chosing to short-sale their homes after attempts at modification failed. BOA offers this option to their clients but, makes the process so daunting with delay after delay and requesting the same information over & over & over again that the properties end-up in foreclosure anyway. After several months of the madness, one client lost the fight even though we had an offer to purchase about 3-weeks before the scheduled foreclosure. And now, after EIGHT (8) months it seems another client is about to be pushed to the same end; this time, we have FOUR offers to purchase. At this rate, there's almost no hope for the other clients. Help me to help others across America who find themselves facing the same run around!9 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Precious Davis

The People's Skills Bank and Services ExchangeMoney is being siphoned off to the top 1% of our society. Everyone experiences the negative effects of this very deep problem. We are asking the California State Legislature to allocate money to subsidize community centers for the purpose of coordinating the common people's goods and services, needs and abilities via computers. This could happen on an exchange basis using credits for products, skills and services rendered.19 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Sheilah Renaud

HIRE RETURNING VETERANS AND SAVE THE POST OFFICE FROM PRIVATIZATIONThe Post Office "losses" are due to a poison pill bill passed to prefund retiree health benefits for the next 75 years! Some can not stand that P.O. is color blind in hiring--too many "minorities" are getting good paying jobs because civil service exams can not discriminate. They want to close post offices and lay off hundreds of thousands of hard working employees. Also, Veterans returning from Iraq and Afghanistan should get extra bonus points so they can be hired. Benjamin Franklin understood how important the P.O. is to our democracy. We can not let this institution be privatized.7 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Deborah Ritchey

How to let the truth be know to those that do not follow the truth. The lies Republicans candidates utter regarding the energy policy President Obama put in place. Wallstreet journal, Citibank nd many more investment analyst are showing data how many wells were drilled during Obama's presidency, and yes already producing. The cautiosu President Obama knows how the "rich energy companies" have contracted the Chinese to produce to pipelines, the Indians to procude the ceramic covers for te pipes, ofcourse cheaper but untested or regulated. Great fr the republicans to keep the job market LOW and expose the general public to the dangers of explosions. So outsourcing and financing those Billionaires is more important than job and safety.1 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Maria

U.S. Citizens Debt Forgiveness ProgramI and many of you are waking up everyday facing foreclosures, repossesions, bankruptcies, utilities being cut off and not being able to put food on the table. The government has bailed out corporate America time and time again. I believe that its time for the government to bail out all Americans that are struggling day to day. If the government would allow a one time debt forgiveness for all of us, based upon our current income the amount of debt that we have all accumulated we would could all sleep a lot better at night and not be afraid to answer the phone in fear of bill collectors.6 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Viola Woody

Public transportation after bar time on weekendsPublic transportation after bar time on weekends. Portland Oregon has a great night life. It is surprising hat such a modern city does not have public transportation after midnight. it just makes a lot of sense to have one last max( street train) or Bus on every line so that people can use. Even if its wrong people still drink and drive, that is a reality if people could simply take public transportation and not take the risk of causing or being in an accident or getting a DUI. plus not have to deal with parking would also be a good selling point for getting party people of the roads. One last run of public transportation will surely prevent accidents. Even if it was only one accident prevented it would be worth it.4 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Jorge Terrell
