There is no legitimate reason why Election day has to be on a Tuesday. Changing it to Saturday would give more people the opportunity to vote because they would not need to take the day off and people's lives are typically more flexible on the weekends.

Leonard Peltier, the American Indian who has been wrongfully imprisoned by the u.s. government for over 30 years - longer than Nelson Madela. On June 26, 1975, two FBI agents stormed (guns a-blazing) onto private property of a private home and were shot under the rules of basic, human, self-defense by friends of the homeowners. Mr. Peltier has been rotting in prison for much too long. Ask yourself - if Peltier was Black would he still be imprisoned, or would the NAACP have stepped in to free him? Native Entertainment Magazine and the people of the world want President Obama to live up to his promise of "CHANGE"!

Mitt Romney is in England attending a fund raiser, supposedly for Americans abroad. We don't know that. Justice Alito sat in the chambers for President O'Bamas State of the Union and mouthed "NOT TRUE" about foreign money influencing our elections. If Justice Alito is that uninformed or is that much influenced by the conservatives, then he should be removed from the court because he is not defending the Constitution of ALL Americans, just the right.

My entire family now believes that there is no place where we can feel safe. The police are helpless because they have less powerful weaponry than that available on the street

The cemeteries in New Jersey for the Veterans who served this country are not maintained properly, as they are short handed, and they have a freeze on hiring. Dont you think we should have the money for this. They need to find the money to keep them nice. The ones in Delaware are kept up very well.

If you want to drive you have to take a course, why not require safety training prior to purchasing and using a gun? No, it will not eliminate all accidents, but this would be a positive step forward. Let's work together to develop safe and responsible gun ownership.

All utility companies in the United States will and have already installed smart meters to replace the present meters we have both in residential sectors as well as all commercial businesses. They say it is to update the system, eliminate meter readers (and jobs) and here is the bad part - they are surveillance cameras and monitor what we are doing 24 hours a day. Now for the worst part - they emit microwave radiation 24/7 and it a major health concern. They need to be banned from all buildings in America. This is a violation on many levels of the 14th Amendment.

I believe that audio and visual sound bites and printed excerpts of political candidates is a major problem in our country. All types of media outlets should be required to play, show and print all statements in their ENTIRETY. This would include ALL op/ed shows.

With TERM LIMITS the Michigan voter can not keep an elected representative in office, they lose the power of their vote. There is a constant change in representatives who are inexperienced and are easily influenced by special interest groups,lobbiest,and corporations,the representatives no longer represent the people.Give the voters back their rights by being able to vote for a representative and to keep them in office or to vote them out of office.

This was our original motto,adopted September 9, 1776."In God We Trust" was adopted July 30, 1956. Our founders wisdom guided them in adopting "E Pluribus Unum" which serves to unite us all as Americans. The present motto serves to divide us as a people. Also, it tends to isolate us from the rest of the world and it does not apply to the majority.

This petition is asking the Secretary of State, Ross Miller, to investigate the funding of negative voting ads aired on television and radio. The citizens and voters in Nevada should know from where the money to finance these ads originates. It is not impossible that foreign interests are funding the ads that contain information that is not true or is misleading.
