• Remove all Photo Radar from Prescott Valley
Photo Radar has been imposed on Prescott Valley, Arizona residents and visitors since 2006. The photo radar is outsourced to an Australian company called Redflex Traffic Systems; a significant amount of money collected from photo-radar citations ends up being sent to this Australian company. Photo radar is a drain on the local economy, and an unfriendly message to local residents and visitors to our home town. Town officials state that photo radar improves safety. Yet many residents note erratic driving behavior of some drivers near photo radar installations: sudden speeding up or sudden slowing down, even placing hands in front of the face while driving near photo radar cameras to avoid identification. Is this safer? Could photo radar in fact be causing as many problems as it solves? In some cities and locations of Maricopa County around Phoenix, Arizona, photo radar has now been removed for a number of reasons. It is time for Prescott Valley to follow suit. Tell Prescott Valley's elected officials to end all photo radar and support the local economy rather than outsource local wealth to Australia.

  • Apology, from Congresswoman Michelle Bachmann
J'accuse: You have accused two of our Citizens, Members of Government. You have yet to provide one shred of evidence that amounts to more than blatant accusation. Thought the Dreyfuss "trial" had settled such matters, clearly. Another reference: Martin Niemoller, Lutheran Pastor WWII. Measure up. Then they came for the trade unionists, and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a trade unionist. Then they came for the Jews, and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a Jew. Then they came for me and there was no one left to speak out

  • Save Our Tax Dollars
The Affordable Health Care Act made some important strides towards improving our so-called health care system, but for many people, particularly those in the lower-middle class, it leaves much to be desired. Currently, state and federal legislators have little "skin in the game" since they're all covered by government-paid health care. I believe that if these legislators had to seek out & pay for their own health insurance, we'd see REAL health care reform almost overnight.

  • Overturn Citizens United
Since the Supreme Court’s disastrous decision in Citizens United, a tidal wave of undisclosed, special interest cash has crashed down on races all across the country. We don’t know where all this money is coming from, and we don’t know what kind of right-wing agenda those donors are pushing. But what we do know is that the Supreme Court won’t be revisiting its decision anytime soon. It’s up to us to stop the flow of secret, corporate cash in our elections–and a constitutional amendment to overturn Citizens United will accomplish that. I've signed on to a constitutional amendment that would effectively overturn the Citizens United decision, and I'm inviting you to sign on, too.

  • Eliminate the Discrimination Against Trans Health Coverage
I am a transsexual woman. Every medical plan Kaiser and the other big insurers offer specifically excludes me and people like me from getting treated for our congenital birth defect. Health coverage that only covers things you don't have is no coverage at all. We are the only group of people still singled out for this type of discrimination. We are calling upon our state legislature and Governor Brown to eliminate these discriminatory restrictions and include transsexuality in the list of essential medical services to be offered under the Affordable Care Act (ACA).

  • Return to basics
The law has become so complex that attorneys who have studied law all their lives do not know what it means, and so it seems to be redefined by the courts. Therefore, We the people who can no longer know much less follow the many arbitrary and sometimes unconstitutional laws which violate the Declaration of Independence, pretition both state and federal levels of congress to reduce the laws down to basic principles which are acceptable to 90% of both houses and must be printed on no more than 20 pages.

  • Free Pussy Riot
Russian punk band Pussy Riot members were found guilty of “hooliganism” by Russian judges for performing an anti-Putin song in a cathedral. They've not been allowed to see friends, family or children, and face up to 7 years in prison. Tell the Russian authorities we don’t stand for this. Putin could be in power until 2024, tell him that freedom of speech is a basic human right.
