• Drink to Education
    Taxing bottle water in the state of Nevada, will help pay our teacher's salaries, and not lay them off. Our children's education is the best investment we can give them, and by having overcrowded classrooms, lack of teaching tools to help provide a good education, we will see a larger number in the dropout rate, because of lack of funding. It's important to strive to keep all children in school and even more so to have a higher percentage of children graduating high school.

  • Dish Network offers only Fox News on low priced packages
    The cheapest package that Dish Network offers viewers has only Fox News Channel as a news source. A subscriber must choose the $59.99 package to access MSNBC. A lot of our senior citizens and poorer folks can only afford the cheapest package and are not getting the chance to hear other points of view and make informed decisions.

    With the Supreme Court upholding the Affordable Care Act, which will allow all Americans to have health insurance by 2014, it's time for the Mississippi GOP to put aside their self-interests and think of the people of Mississippi.     Tired of watching carbon spewing trucks and commercial vehicles choke up the HOV lane during rush hours only because they have an extra passenger. Some of these vehicles get single digit gas mileages and it should not matter how many people are in them - If its not a mass transit vehicle or a regular passenger vehicle, it should be disqualified from the HOV lane.

    10,000 jobs in the United States and 2,000 small businesses will vanish after July 6th, 2012. If President Obama does not issue a signing statement stating he will not enforce the provision of RYO (Roll Your Own) cigarette machines in the "Highway Bill" I and 6 direct family members will be out of a job. 95% of this bill has nothing to do with RYO machines.

    If the Affordable Care Act becomes the law of the land, we should have the option of purchasing insurance from the government to create more competition. For those of you who have reservations about this, Medicares paperwork costs are about 3% of premiums paid. Private insurance companies costs are about 15%. In this case, the government is much more efficient than private insurance
