• House and Senate Services should not be subsidized
Members of the House and Senate receive subsidized services, such as food, health club, etc. They should pay fair market value for these services. In turn any member who wishes to reside in their office should pay fair market rent. They are trying to ax jobs and benefits for their constituents, why not start with themselves.

  • Fair Law Act
That a law is enacted that prevents Senators and Representatives from enjoying any health care or retirement benefits that are not enjoyed by all citizens. They pay into and utilize Social Security and not pensions for retirement and buy into the same health services that are available to the citizens without citizen contributions.

  • Sell ice cream by weight
In the USA, ice cream is sold by volumetric measures (pint, quart, half gallon) even though it is not a liquid. This gives manufacturers an incentive to pump the product full of air in order to fill a larger container with less product. In Italy, where gelato was invented, ice cream is sold be weight. This is fairer for the consumer and results in a higher quality product.

  • Overrule Citizens United Decision
Big spending on elections and lobbying is preventing meaningful action by Congress and state legislatures to address the urgent matters of severe unemployment, inadequate health care, and and an alarming and growing disparity between the incomes and standards of living of the wealthiest 1% of our citizens and the remaining 99%. Under the U.S. Supreme Court decision in the Citizens United case, spending by individuals and by corporations is constitutionally protected speechthat cannot be effectively limited by Congress and by state legislatures. Under Article V of the U.S. Constitution , at the request of legislatures of two-thirds of the states, Congress must call a constitutional convention to consider the need for constitutional amendment.

  • We Support Passing The STOP ONLINE PIRACY ACT
The bill would allow the U.S. Department of Justice, as well as copyright holders, to seek court orders against websites accused of enabling or facilitating copyright infringement. Depending on who requests the court orders, the actions could include barring online advertising networks and payment facilitators such as PayPal from doing business with the infringing website, barring search engines from linking to such sites, and requiring Internet service providers to block access to such sites. The bill would make unauthorized streaming of copyrighted content a felony. The bill also gives immunity to Internet services that voluntarily take action against websites dedicated to infringement, while making liable for damages any copyright holder who knowingly misrepresents that a website is dedicated to infringement.

  • Move the City of Elk Grove's Money Out of Bank of America
The City of Elk Grove has our taxpayer dollars in Bank Of America. This is a company that has been sued for fraud multiple times for defrauding customers. All 50 states are investigating Bank Of America right now for mortgage fraud. Especially after the Citizens United ruling in 2010 giving corporations the same rights as people, I ask you this question: Would you trust your money with a friend or any person that has been litigated against for fraud? I think not. Let's send a message to The City of Elk Grove that we do not want to do business with companies under investigation or that have been sued.
