  • Rep. Torres Small needs to come out in support of an impeachment inquiry
As a resident of New Mexico, I am disappointed that I am not seeing Rep. Torres Small on the list of members of Congress calling for impeachment inquiry. There is more than enough evidence to impeach, whether it comes to holding Trump accountable for abuse of power, taking advantage of office for personal gain, misappropriations of taxpayer money, obstruction of justice, conspiracy w/foreign entities to interfere in elections, & much more. We need New Mexico Reps to get on board w/the impeachment investigation/inquiry! Now is the time to take a moral stand and make sure that Trump's corruption and human rights violations will not be accepted.

  • Tennessee Legislature: Protect election security
Russia interfered in the 2016 election in a sweeping and systematic method, breaching all 50 states. Paper ballots prove the safest way to vote since foreign powers can not easily hack them and thus allow for a fair and accurate count of the vote.

  • Take Ronald Reagan’s name off of the DC Airport
Ronald Reagan’s name does not deserve to be on any airport, especially one located in the nation’s capital. After tapes were released from the National Archives of him referring to African diplomats as “Those monkeys from African countries” it is imperative that Congress work to rename the capital’s airport after someone who’s legacy is one of social justice and not one of racist bigotry.

  • Tesla Lithium 12v support
Petition requesting full 12v lithium charging support for Tesla Vehicles: Even though Tesla’s electric motors use lithium batteries, which are among the best in the world, Tesla doesn’t support lithium charging for its 12v internal electronics. It should. Why 12v Lithium Matters Tesla owners deal with frequent failure of the 12v battery because Tesla uses outdated lead acid batteries that can barely support the car’s basic functions, let alone support after market upgrades (e.g. power inverters for camping, stereos, tow winches, and other high current upgrades). Lithium batteries live much longer, prevent failure, and support high current accessories. Why Teslas Don’t Yet Fully Charge 12v Lithiums Currently, Tesla vehicles will assume that the 12v battery is lead acid, even if you install a high quality lithium 12v battery. This results in a constantly under-charged lithium battery, but the fix would be simple for Tesla to implement through a firmware update. Charging a Bit Longer Would Support Lithium Tesla cars already charge at a voltage that works for lithium (14.8 v), but the car’s internal charger will only charge a 12v battery to a level considered “full” for a lead acid battery (roughly 12.6v). But compared to lead acid, lithium batteries aren’t fully charged until they reach a higher voltage (roughly 13.4v). In fact, what is considered full for a lead acid battery (12.6v) is actually a low state of charge for a lithium battery. As a result, Tesla vehicles prematurely stop charging 12v lithium and won’t adequately maintain lithium 12v batteries unless lithium support is implemented. An On-Screen Option Could Fix the Problem A firmware update could add a simple toggle switch in a menu to select “Lead Acid” or “Lithium” for the 12v battery charging profile. By default, the setting would be set to “Lead Acid,” since that’s appropriate for the stock 12v battery. But having the option for “Lithium” would allow owners to take full advantage of their upgraded lithium 12v batteries. It would also facilitate lithium upgrades for owners who have not yet upgraded. Current Work-Around Until Requested Update Until Tesla implements the 12v lithium support described here, the only way to keep an aftermarket lithium 12v battery fully charged is to use an external charger. That entails buying such a charger and leaving it plugged in overnight in order to pick up where the car’s charger leaves off. This should not be necessary. Tesla cars are more than capable of fully charging lithium 12v batteries, and owners should be able to access that potential. Please sign!

  • California People's Petition for CA Medicare 4 All Single Payer Healthcare System
WHEREAS, the current California Democratic Party Platform advocates legislation to “create and implement a publicly-funded single-payer, privately delivered, fiscally tractable, affordable, comprehensive, secure, high-quality, efficient, and sustainable health care system for all Californians”; and WHEREAS, our current Governor campaigned with Single Payer as a platform issue, we have a Democratic supermajority in our state legislature, our Democratic Senate President pro Tempore and California Insurance Commissioner were co-authors of the most recent single-payer bill in the California legislature, now is the optimal time to introduce and pass a Single Payer bill in accordance with the their California Democratic Party Platform on Health Care; and WHEREAS, due to the repeated attacks by the current Federal Administration to dismantle the Affordable Care Act which would leave millions of Californians without necessary healthcare coverage, California must go on the offensive by introducing and passing a Single-Payer Healthcare bill in the current legislative session and, if not enacted currently, in subsequent legislative sessions until enacted so as to ensure there is no lapse in essential healthcare coverage in the event that the Federal Administration strikes down the Affordable Care Act; WHEREAS, our California Republican Party Legislators commitment to fiscally responsible legislation would be met with a publicly financed Medicare For All Single Payer Healthcare System. THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, the People of California, call upon the Governor, the Senate President pro Tempore, the Speaker of the Assembly, and all CA Legislators in our state legislature to write, introduce, and pass a CA Medicare For All Single Payer bill as soon as possible, and intends to use any tool at its disposal to influence legislators to do so, including, but not limited to, setting in to motion a recall of any legislators refusing to work towards a CA Medicare For All Single Payer Healthcare System; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the People of California will submit this petition to the Governor, the Senate President pro Tempore, the Speaker of the Assembly, and all California State Legislators members of our state legislature to impress upon them the urgency, necessity and immediacy to introduce and pass a Medicare For All Single-Payer Healthcare bill, the passage of which is the only way to bring to realization a morally and fiscally responsible healthcare system for all Californians, where health care is a right for all Californians and not a privilege.

  • Rep. Andy Kim (NJ-3) needs to support impeachment inquiry against Trump immediately.
During Mueller's testimony in front of Capitol Hill lawmakers last week, he made it clear that the primary reason that he did not consider indictments against the sitting president is because "of guidance from the Office of Legal Counsel (within the Justice Department) that a sitting President cannot be indicted," not because there wasn't cause for indictments. Mueller's testimony and report did not exonerate the president. In fact, Mueller's testimony and report point to a president who is mired in attempts to undermine the Constitution and the law, not to mention the numerous human rights violations Trump is mandating at the border. It is long overdue to begin an impeachment inquiry into the sitting president, and a growing number of Representatives and Senators have come out for an inquiry in just the last week. Rep. Andy Kim needs to come out in support of pursuing an impeachment inquiry against Trump immediately.
