Black Lives Matter! Mayor Pete Please Help Remove Police Chief Scott RuszkowskiThe first ever Black Chief of Police Darryl Boykins was removed due to an alleged Department of Justice (DOJ) federal investigation into the South Bend Police Department in 2012. The current Chief of Police, Scott Ruszkowski has failed in disciplining and removing racist officers from the South Bend police force. We believe Chief Ruszowski's inaction should be removed from office immediately. #BlackLivesMatter331 of 400 SignaturesCreated by Black Lives Matter - South Bend

Tell the GOP to stop blocking important election security bills"Over the course of my career, I've seen a number of challenges to our democracy. The Russian government's effort to interfere in our election is among the most serious." - former Special Counsel Robert Mueller, during his testimony before the House Judiciary Committee Robert Mueller made it entirely clear to our members of Congress and the American people: Russia’s attack on our elections was drastic -- and if we don’t immediately improve our election security measures, we can expect it to happen again in 2020. But the fact of the matter is -- despite multiple warning signs, leaders in Washington, D.C. haven’t done NEARLY enough to protect our election systems from foreign interference. In fact, just after Mueller's powerful testimony, one GOP senator blocked a series of commonsense, bipartisan election security bills -- and Senator McConnell personally blocked two more election security bills from being voted on today. We can’t afford to put off fortifying our electoral process any longer. 2020 is fast approaching -- and if we don’t act now to stop foreign entities from spreading misinformation, hacking voting machines, and attempting to collaborate with campaigns, the very foundation of our democracy could be at risk. We deserve the utmost confidence that the American people decide who wins our elections, not Russian operatives. And we already know the strong, simple solutions that work -- like paper ballots and post-election audits. But now, it’s up to Congress to act. Add your name to tell your representatives: secure our elections, before it’s too late.36,839 of 40,000 SignaturesCreated by Devon Nir, Common Cause

Consent Training on Dating AppsConsent is defined as the permission for something to happen or agreement to do something. Consent is very important but unfortunately, there are many people who ignore it. There are many, many people who I personally know, I included, who have their consent taken away from them. This has got to come to an end. Consent training would be a step closer to a better world.15 of 100 SignaturesCreated by devayani varma

No more butts on the beachI am a Tybee Island resident. I grew up in Savannah back when Tybee was Savannah Beach. I was lucky enough to become a full-time Tybee resident around ten years ago. Growing up, we always heard the little slogans like "Keep your butts off the beach". Clearly, those slogans haven't worked. It is appalling at the cigarette butts that are left all over the beach, in the ocean, the sidewalks, everywhere. I think my breaking point was watching a family stand in the water smoking and then when they were finished they THREW THEM IN THE WATER!!! Unfortunately, that wasn't the first time I saw someone do this it just happened to be the first time I saw a group of people do it at once! Enough is enough this is no longer acceptable. It's 2019; we know better!848 of 1,000 SignaturesCreated by Sonya Fettke

@SpeakerPelosi: Send @RepRoKhanna to the conference to end the Yemen warHouse Speaker Nancy Pelosi has a historic opportunity to end the famine-causing Saudi war in Yemen. The House has passed the Adam Smith - Ro Khanna Yemen War Powers amendment to the National Defense Authorization Act that would end all U.S. participation in the war. The House and Senate have both passed the Sanders-Lee-Murphy Yemen War Powers Resolution. The House and Senate have both voted to cut off U.S. arms shipments to Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates for the war. All Speaker Pelosi has to do now to end the war is insist that the House-Senate conference on the National Defense Authorization Act include provisions to end the war that both the House and the Senate have voted for. Here is a specific, concrete way that Speaker Pelosi can show her commitment to the goal: she can make Rep. Ro Khanna, the original sponsor of Yemen War Powers, a conferee in the House-Senate negotiations on the NDAA. Urge House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to send Rep. Ro Khanna to the conference to end the Yemen war by signing our petition.10,185 of 15,000 SignaturesCreated by Robert Naiman

CNN: Prioritize Foreign Policy at the debates next weekIn the 2016 primary debates, Democrats were asked on average approximately 2 questions per debate on Foreign Policy. On the other side, Republicans were asked on average over 5 questions per debate on Foreign Policy. Foreign Policy is a core fear-mongering tool of the Republican Party––from ignoring climate change and its global implications to demonizing immigrants and Muslims or instilling the fear of "terrorism" and war. If we want a Democratic president in 2020, Democratic candidates must learn how to answer and argue on behalf of progressive foreign policy principles and stances. Just this week, Donald Trump said that he could kill 10 million people in Afghanistan if he wanted to. In previous months, he has cut off humanitarian aid to Palestine, threatened Iran with war, and increased military presence at the US-Mexico border. Democrats, media, and debate hosts can't keep pushing this issue under the rug in the hopes that it will go away. It won't. Sign the petition to CNN if you agree that it's time to seriously address Foreign Policy and all the implications it brings to our domestic policies––including increasingly militarized police and a bloated pentagon budget––on the debate stage next week.2,207 of 3,000 SignaturesCreated by Justin Krebs, MoveOn Civic Action
