We have an aging population. Our millennials, wrapped up in debt from student loan and credit cards, are way too concerned about getting out of debt, than having kids. Young or old, one thing they have in common is, they've worked for the same wage and daily paycheck for the sat five years. Whilst the cost of food had gone up many times, in between these years, nothing's change for them. No raise, no exemption and no benefit. And on top of this, a third of this working group in our population will be retiring for good in the next two years. When they do, we'll have qualified people to take the position they retired from. But one thing we cannot hide is the fact that funds for their pension scheme, retirement benefits, Medicaid, housing and social services will be stretched thin. To make up for this, developed economies rely on immigrants to fill the gap. And that is why most developed economies all over the world bring in immigrants to do the job the young ones are leaving behind, or jobs our own are unwilling to do. It is a proven and tested way to boost pension scheme, it is the best way to fund the care of our retirees, re-energize sagging economy and re-invigorate economically depressed communities. I might want to control the border if I were Trump today, but whilst doing so, I'll consider the economical benefit of having immigrants in our midst. I'll grant the 6 million non-Latino immigrants in our midst an amnesty. And as for those 5 million that are Latinos of Colombian descent, I'll extend Native Rights Act to them. Diversity and compassion is what defines us the most, not hatred and definitely not bad governance. That's why I'm calling for a blanket amnesty for immigrants in our midst now. Please share this message with the all presidential candidates. Get them to make this an issue worth debating and get the Congress to grant amnesty to immigrants in out midst.

There is a law in Washington State that prohibits anyone from storing manure in ways that endanger human health and well-being. The WA State Board of Health is considering a revision of this regulation (WAC 173-203-130) that would exempt concentrated animal feeding operations (CAFOs) from this law. CAFOs are farms where hundreds of animals are confined in small areas for most of the year. As a result, CAFOs struggle to manage huge amounts of urine and feces. CAFOs store these by-products on-site and occasionally next to family homes. The current law allows neighbors to seek relief by complaining to public health officials. In rural Yakima County, for example, factory farms have built manure lagoons and stockpiled manure within throwing distance of family homes. In 2017 floodwaters sent overflow from dairy lagoons and compost areas into twelve rural residences. The WA Farm Bureau contends that the WA State Department of Agriculture (WSDA) is better equipped to address these problems than health officers. However, the WSDA has no expertise in human health. Giving this responsibility to WSDA means that nothing will be done to protect neighbors from the excesses of factory farming. Please sign our petition. WA State Board of Health: Do not exempt CAFOs from health regulations. Keeping of Animals The WA State Board of Health received a petition to update WAC 246-203-130, Keeping of Animals in 2009. The rule addresses health, sanitation, and nuisance associated with animal keeping, mainly as it relates to manure handling and disposal. In July 2009, the Board directed staff to file a CR-101, Preproposal Statement of Inquiry, to explore issues and initiate rulemaking. Work on the rule stalled and the Board devoted time to issues and concerns with large animal feeding operations and related regulatory programs. In 2018, Board staff completed a background report on environmental health concerns and the regulatory structure managing animal waste. The report also outlines Board policy recommendations modernizing the rule to fill a unique role in the state regulatory structure. Work is now underway drafting rule language for stakeholder input and public review, with the goal of adopting a revised rule by late 2019. Lake Associations throughout NJ have relied upon PREDFDA (Planned Real Estate Development Full Disclosure Act) to help meet the rising cost of maintenance issues for lakes and dams. Amendment A5043/S3661 will gut the law and make it impossible to maintain over 180 dams in more than 1000 lakes. Majority of these dams and lakes are maintained by private Lake Associations. Without all residents paying a fair share, these dams and lakes will fall into disrepair and eutrophication. Dam disrepair could put property and people's lives at risk , and the lakes could become an environmental nightmare. Eventually the taxpayers will be on the hook for the remediation. Governor Murphy Veto these amendments and set up a committee of experts to evaluate what neglect of these lakes will cause. PS. I was startled when I got a message from Meagan Bell, a MoveOn member in North Palm Beach, Florida. She said, "she visited the Homestead child detention center located near Miami last week, and was absolutely horrified by the overcrowding and prison-like conditions that children seeking asylum were living in". As a self sponsored presidential candidate myself, I therefore decided the best thing to do is to join her, call "on all the Democratic candidates for president to personally visit the Homestead Child Detention Center while they are in South Florida this week for the debates". From pictures and briefs made available to me, I was able to make out these are kids fleeing violence and poverty in Central America. They are seeking asylum in the United States. And the most humane thing we can do now is to get these children out of detention, reunite them with their families, then focus on ways to get Donald Trump - with his modern day slavery and gulag mentality, out of office. As we eagerly anticipate receiving our first paycheck including hard-earned 3 percent raises, UC Merced officials unveiled plans to raise employee parking fees at the main campus and to institute parking fees at the downtown campus. To add insult to injury, UC Merced administration failed to notify our Union, Teamsters Local 2010, of their intent to raise parking fees and negotiate how this change will affect workers. The planned parking fee increases are exorbitant and do not comply with our Union contracts. We have filed multiple grievances on this issue, but Administration has expressed that they still intend to increase parking rates. Therefore, our Teamsters 2010 representatives have submitted a cease and desist letter demanding that UC Merced stop the parking increases until they meet with our Union. With low wages and increasing fees, university employees are at risk of not being able to afford to come to work. This must end! UCM cannot continue to be a catalyst for poverty. We demand an end to increased parking fees and that UC Merced administration complies with the clerical and skilled trades contracts, which limit the parking rate increases.

We agree with the demands of the WayFair Walkout: -Cease all current and future business with BCFS and other contractors participating in the operation of migrant detention camps at our Southern border (or any other location). BCFS "partners with government agencies, corporations, non-profits, and community leaders to develop programs and service models that combat challenges in health and human services" and has received over $179 million in federal contracts since 2015. -Establish a code of ethics for B2B Sales that empowers Wayfair and its employees to act in accordance with their core values -The additional request that all profits from completed sales be donated to the organization Refugee and Immigrant Center for Education and Legal Services (RAICES)

After visiting the Homestead Child Detention Center last week, I was horrified by the overcrowding and prison like conditions. The U.S. government is currently holding thousands of child migrants, many of whom have been separated from their families by U.S. immigration officials in Homestead. Most have fled violence and poverty in Central America and are seeking asylum in the United States. Instead of being released to family members or other sponsors, many are spending weeks or months in inhumane detention. And because Homestead is an emergency influx center, children are not protected by agreements that ordinarily ensure licensing and other standards are met. US taxpayers are paying a FOR PROFIT company, Comprehensive Health Services (owned by Caliburn) over $750 per DAY per child. It is estimated that the per DAY cost to taxpayers for detaining the children of Homestead is over $2.4 million. We are imploring the Democratic candidates to go to Homestead and see the detention center for themselves. Every day there are witnesses who hold up signs over the fence in support of the children and tell them they are not alone. Can the candidates for president please join them? We must get these children out of detention and into Homes Instead.

HB0203 creates the "No Representation Without Population Act" to stop the practice of prison gerrymandering. Counting prisoners at their last known address will also help the transition to a productive life for the prisoner. Keeping the integrity of the Census count will keep their home communities accurately represented in the state legislature. Despite having the opportunity to fight bigotry and violence at its recent Annual General Meeting, Mastercard has refused to stop working with far right and hate groups like the League of the South, National Policy Institute, Proud Boys, Stormfront, VDare, Identity Evropa, Occidental Dissent, and Radix Journal. These days starting a white supremacist or hate group is as easy as launching any online business. The tech platforms that have enabled so many of us to open up websites and begin selling products and services allow hate groups and extremists to thrive equally within the same ecosystem. These groups have managed to co-opt social media, ecommerce and fintech platforms to financially support criminal activities, including violence and harassment. From donation platforms to online stores, major tech companies are operating at a level of scale that they do not know who their customers are before they grant them access to Mastercard payments. It’s time for Mastercard to face the fact that until they investigate, the company will not know the scope of abuse taking place in their network.

We do not accept the unethical and despicable treatment of human beings seeking asylum with their families. Family separation and child detention are not solutions. They are atrocities.
