8chan is the most dangerous hate site in the world, linked to 7 mass shootings since 2017 including El Paso and New Zealand. The site cannot operate without the protection of cyber security services offered by a handful of firms. After the 8chan-inspired shooting in El Paso, the security firm Cloudflare dropped 8chan as a client. The lawless hate site went down immediately. But now Bitmitigate, another security firm, says it will protect 8chan. Sign this petition to pressure Bitmitigate-and any other cyber-security firm-to drop 8chan as a client. This is not the first moral failing for Bitmitigate. After the 2017 Charleston chruch shooting, the pro-Nazi site The Daily Stormer lost its security firm. But Bitmitigate announced it would take on this hateful client, and has protected the site for two years now. Seattle-based Bitmitigate is owned by Vancouver-based Epik. So if you want to do more, you can also go to Epik and Bitmitigate’s websites, look at their client lists, and call their current clients. We need someone we know can win. Her popularity is evident. Sometimes, in the face of crisis, new paths in our lives must be taken. We all need to encourage her to step up and be that hero. My extended family was gunned down in a mass shooting attack in 2015 (six members). Since then, domestic terrorism has risen dramatically, fueled by white supremacist radicalization. We need to call it what it is: terrorism.

As of August 4, 2019, the United States has suffered 250 mass shootings, the majority of which have involved an assault rifle.
