• To Move Zeph Pitt From the United States Penitentary "Canaan" in Waymart, PA; to the Bureau of ...
My son Zeph Pitt, has a number of medical issues,. When he was arrested, over 3 years ago, he had just been diagnosed with Hepatitis C, had a torn A/C joint in his shoulder; a mass in one testicle, with pain and swelling, and degenerative disc disease with osteoarthritis. He was transferred to four facilities during the two and a half years awaiting sentencing. Each move meant starting over as medical records do not follow the inmate! Now sentenced to a federal facility so remote, it is not near any adequate medical treatment. It has been over 7 months and no MRI yet. It took almost 9 months to get the MRI at the first jail in 2015. His labs show the Hepatitis is getting worse; but no treatment is being given. The muscles in his right bicep and chest muscles are atrophying, which causes great weakness on the right side. And just as an aside, it took 4 months to get approved for a tooth cleaning. and the approval letter stated it would be a 12 or 18 month wait for the dental care. The worst part of course, is he didn't even go out and commit a crime! (Not just a Mom being blinded.) He made dumb choices long ago, as a young man, paid the price, and had no intention of breaking the law... Long story, we have an appeal in the works, but meanwhile I'd like to keep him alive so he can get a chance to be the man he wants his children to know

  • Changing Tables in Mens Restrooms
As a father, who regularly spends quality time with his child without his spouse I find it difficult to bring them to certain places. It is difficult because there are no changing tables in most mens restrooms. I want to make it mandatory to have them in every mens restroom.

  • $10,000 for a Toilet Seat Cover? Tell Congress to Stop Corrupt Defense Contracts
Remember the 1982 $600 Air Force toilet seat? Thanks to Will Roper, USAF Assistant Secretary for Acquisition, Technology and Logistics, we now have an on-the-record update--the current price is $10,000 and that's just for the cover. Americans were outraged in 1982 when they learned that the Pentagon was paying $600 for a toilet seat (both parts) and the Pentagon and Congress swore up and down they would get things under control. Well now it’s 30 years later and this scandal has gotten 10 times worse. But the toilet is just the tip of the iceberg. The reality is that the Pentagon is so cozy with defense contractors that this kind of corruption runs rampant. And they’re getting fat with taxpayer money. The first step is to let Congress know that we’re wise to them and that we’re not going to take it anymore. And the way to begin is to sign this petition and pass it on. • Demand President Trump investigate "Wrongful Convictions"
No one is above the law. Too many cases have revealed a lot more people have been incarcerated and/or put on death row; simply by a corrupted system; (Thank GOD for DNA). Prosecutors, Judges. LEO's, and even elected officials who campaign on upholding civil and especially constitutional rights are NOT being held accountable. Even when there has been exonerations and releases, and even in some states 'restitution' for their injustices; those responsible are not being held criminally liable, (as they should be). Resignations and offers of retirement should not even be considered! Too much and for far too long has caused irreparable damage to an individual and their families.

  • #IvankaReuniteRefugeeChildren
Like so many other people, I am horrified by the administration's policy of separating refugee children from their parents at the border. Senator Jeff Merkley recently visited a detention center where these children are warehoused and exposed the horrific conditions in which they are held. These children are housed in large cages with other children of all ages crying and mourning the forced separation from their parents. Ivanka Trump is in a unique position as the daughter of the President and a member of his administration. She has a very close relationship with her father and may be the only person who could convince him to change his position on this unconscionable policy. She is a self-identified feminist and mother. This is an attempt to appeal to her humanity and heart. If she spoke to her father, he just might change his mind. To see an example of a letter I sent to Ivanka, click here - https://tinyurl.com/y7q43fcg. Please tweet Ivanka @IvankaTrump with the hashtag #IvankaReuniteRefugeeChildren along with your own message, a picture of you with your children, or another image that could awaken her compassion. This is about appealing to her heart, not shaming or attacking her. Shaming and attacking her will not create the change we want. Many of us have much deeper criticisms of the policies of the Trump administration and are in the streets challenging them. The goal of this petition is much more narrow. This particular outrage is one that violates all universal norms of humanity. Thus, we are attempting to reach the hearts of as many people as possible, including those who might disagree with us on other issues. So please share this not only with those who already oppose Trump or this policy, but also with members of your family, colleagues, co-workers, and others who normally would not publicly oppose Trump but who might be moved on this particular issue to sign this petition. • Reclaim our Park: Lindbergh Park named after Nazi Sympathizer
As someone who was born and raised in Culver City, I learned the importance of celebrating all people who are a part of our community. Charles Lindbergh did not share those values and we should not have a park named after him. Here are a few things he said: During World War II, Charles Lindbergh was the lead spokesperson for the America First Committee. Lindbergh gave a speech to a huge crowd in Des Moines, in which he described the agitators for the U.S. to enter the war. There were three groups: the British, the government, and “the Jewish race.” “Their greatest danger to this country lies in their large ownership and influence in our motion pictures, our press, our radio, and our government,” he told the audience. He wrote, in an infamous essay published by Reader’s Digest in November, 1939, weeks after the war in Europe began, that Western nations “can have peace and security only so long as we band together to preserve that most priceless possession, our inheritance of European blood.” President Roosevelt disliked Lindbergh's outspoken opposition to his administration's interventionist policies, telling Treasury Secretary Henry Morgenthau, "If I should die tomorrow, I want you to know this, I am absolutely convinced Lindbergh is a Nazi." In 1941 he wrote to Secretary of War Henry Stimson: "When I read Lindbergh's speech I felt that it could not have been better put if it had been written by Goebbels himself. What a pity that this youngster has completely abandoned his belief in our form of government and has accepted Nazi methods because apparently they are efficient." Sign our petition to reclaim our park and demand the city of Culver City change the name of the park to better represent our community’s values.

  • Wellington RV Parking
My husband and I are tired of being taken advantage of in Wellington. Not everyone here owns horses or has a lot of expendable cash. I think it would be a nice benefit to the residents here and we have the space. Let’s make it happen!

  • Housing solution for Puerto Rican American evacuees
We Unite Organizations, Inc under our humanitarian program Human Rights Festival has been at the forefront of the battle for the humane and dignified treatment of Puerto Rican American evacuees residing stateside. We have worked with the population daily providing hands on humanitarian aide and in the areas of advocating. An end to the Transitional Shelter Assistance is looming, as the final date is June 30th and legislation has been introduced to provide a more permanent solution for the evacuees nationwide. The Disaster Housing Assistance Program normally initiated by FEMA and administered by H.U.D has been denied for the less the 2,500 people remaining on TSA vouchers. This legislation is the ONLY solution left to this humanitarian crisis. The evacuee population has no collective voice as they reside in different states around the nation. We ask the American people to collectively raise their voice in the disaster victims behalf.

  • Chris Collins Must Debate Nate McMurray
Chris Collins has not had a debate in 6 years, since the 2012 race against Kathy Hochul. That's three election cycles. American democracy is a marketplace of ideas. Voters deserve to hear both candidates challenged on the issues in order to make an informed decision come November.
