• Protect the Arctic Refuge from drilling
One of America’s last untouched wild areas could soon be opened up to destructive oil and gas drilling. In an unprecedented move, Congress has snuck a provision in their tax bill that opens the door to drilling in Alaska’s Arctic Refuge.

  • Congress: don’t use our money to protect sexual harassers
Americans have a right to know how Congress is spending their tax dollars, and this hush money used to hide deplorable conduct by Members and their staffs is no exception. That's why Congress must immediately pass legislation that prohibits lawmakers from using their Members Representational Allowances -- or any other public funds -- to settle sexual harassment cases. Furthermore, we call on Congressional leadership in both parties to publicly disclose the names of Members of Congress and congressional staff who have used their offices' funds or any other account to pay sexual harassment or misconduct settlements. In doing so, victims' identities must be protected, unless they decide to reveal their names, and the date on which the settlement took place must be kept private to protect victims. The opacity of how Congress handles harassment claims has enabled continued repulsive behavior to occur by Members and staff in the "People's House." Ultimately, if congressional budgets were more transparent, heightened attention to harassment and misconduct settlements may have helped prevent some of these heinous acts. We demand that Congress act now to stop using their taxpayer-funded office budgets from being spent to settle sexual harassment lawsuits -- and publicly disclose the name of all Members who have done so.

  • Close Donald Trump's Twitter Account
Everyone in the country has been affected by the hateful rhetoric of Donald Trump but his recent messages inciting hatred toward Muslims are particularly disturbing as are many of his racist tweets. Twitter must not allow this to continue. For any other user, they would not.

  • We need you to shift to implementing Ranked Choice Voting, please no further delays
We need ranked choice voting to be implemented effectively in time for the March election. The voters of Santa Fe chose to improve and increase the representative nature of our democratic process through ranked choice voting. Now a judge has ruled after an evidentiary hearing, that the City is obliged to implement it. It's time to move forward and ensure its effectiveness. No more delays.

  • ALL media should boycott WH holiday party
This is just the most recent attack by Trump on media who try to hold him accountable. News media should not continue to reward this behavior, and should stand together to withhold the public attention he so desperately wants.

  • Austin: Save our Wildlife
Wildlife habitats and populations have become severely fragmented due to rapid urbanization. We as a city need to ensure that our natural wildlife is sustained through building infrastructure that can support them. Hello everyone! I am working on my portfolio titled Sustaining Wildlife Biodiversity in the Face of Urbanization. Austin has lost many species now considered to be Endangered and on the brink of extinction such as the Red Wolf due to the rapid urbanization to accommodate the citizens and visitors nationwide. We are still home to many species that are Endangered or Threatened such as the Barton Springs Salamander. We need to find a middle ground to support the coexistence of wildlife and humans. I have created this petition to the Governor of Texas, Greg Abbott, to call for the need to reconstruct infrastructure to protect and include native species in our city of Austin and the state of Texas overall. Please join me and sign my petition to save our wildlife biodiversity!!!

  • Place A Motion of No Confidence on Mayor Jasiel Correia II
Mayor Jasiel Correia II has once again lied to the citizens of Fall River by vetoing a city council resolution, a resolution that would challenge a controversial road in court. In Fall River we have this nice trail called the Quequechan Rail Trail. It is located where the quequechan river once was. We received a lot of outside funds for this nature trail. The mayor sent down a request to place an easement through the trail. This easement is a two lane road that goes through nature, and the beautiful trail. If the road was placed over the trail, there would be environmental and public safety concerns. The mayor told opposers of the road “If you don’t want the road, then there will be no road”. So the fact that the mayor is now going back on that promise right after an election proves he tricked the voters. If this road is built there will be trouble brought along with it. So that is why we ask for a no confidence vote to be brought upon the Mayor. We ask for support in and outside the city of Fall River to help us with this drastic environmental concern.
