• NET NEUTRALITY Petition to Congress
I personally would be affected by Net Neutrality, and so would all of you if they let the Net be divided into sectors. We've already seen Netflix and hulu. Lets not let the Internet start charging us for watching it.

  • No Privatization of the Veterans Administration
Veterans deserve better and privatization is not the way to do it. Turning the VA in to a cash cow to line their pockets off the backs of veterans, especially those that dodged military service because of heel spurs.

  • Stop using people's Gross income for determining eligibility for Snap.
Recently I was denied Snap assistance for my family of 5. My husband grosses $2000.00 biweekly, but his net income is only $800.00 biweekly. When DHS saw his Gross, we were instantly laughed at, then told we were denied. How can you use an amount of money that we don't even see to determine eligibility? It needs to be considered to change to using net income!

  • HOLD TRUMP ACCOUNTABLE FOR SEX ABUSE CLAIMS
The current President of the United States, Donald Trump, has been accused of sexual assault and sexual harassment by at least fifteen or more women since the 1980s, resulting in three widely-reported instances of litigation. Two of the allegations became public before his candidacy for President, and others surfaced after release of the Access Hollywood tape that revealed him bragging how a celebrity like himself "can do anything" to women, including "just start kissing them ... I don't even wait" and "grab 'em by the pussy". Trump has publicly excused and denied those claims. He was also accused of going into the dressing rooms of Miss Universe contestants in 1997, 2000, 2001, and 2006, as owner of the franchise. During a 2005 interview on The Howard Stern Show, Trump admitted that he could "get away with things like that" at the pageants. Trump's statements and behaviors are an unacceptable violation of American public values, and render him unworthy of public office.

  • NO to chemical industry insider Michael Dourson leading EPA toxics office!
Clean and safe water is a human right. Full stop. Michael Dourson has spent his career helping companies like Dupont shirk responsibility for contaminating groundwater with dangerous chemicals known to harm kids and families. How does he make sense working at the very office charged with protecting us? He doesn't. The Senate could vote on Dourson any day. Let’s make sure our voices are heard loud and clear. Our health, our families and our water are NOT for sale to the chemical industry. Join us in telling the Senate NO to Michael Dourson.

  • In support of the real Al Franken
Al Franken is one of our most valuable public servants. He works hard and strongly supports women’s rights. His crude horseplay and unwanted French kiss were wrong, but in no way equate with the behavior of recently uncovered sexual predators.

  • Support the Fix NICS 2017 Act to Keep Firearms Out of the Hands of Domestic Violence Perpetrators
The flaw in our nation’s background check system is increasingly evident, as the program is only as good as the information provided to it. When records prohibiting domestic abusers from gun possession are excluded, dangerous individuals are able to obtain guns and do harm to our communities. The Fix NICS Act will help to save the lives of victims of domestic violence and the communities in which they live, by ensuring that domestic violence records are entered properly and consistently into the background check system, and that federal and state authorities accurately report relevant criminal history records in accordance with existing law. Specifically, the bill mandates that the number of records being entered (along with the number not being entered) be publicly reported on the U.S. Department of Justice website, informed by Attorney General and Department of Defense input. Federal agencies who fail to properly report records will be penalized, states who improve reporting will be incentivized, and additional federal funding will be directed to accurate reporting. We urge you to sign this petition in support of this bill, to address a nationwide, systemic problem and ultimately protect women, children and men from future harm.
