Someone had me falsely arrested for domestic violence and went on to use the court system and child protective services to deprive me of my children with the help of child protective services falsifying documents to make unfounded and untrue allegations stand in court.

I am starting this petition because his story is all over the media and no one else has tried to act on his behalf. In this day and age, we don't have to tolerate the injustices that this government tries to make us stomach.

I am appalled that a company would spend lavishly in their self-interest to defeat the government's most effective tool to combat the opioid crisis. I hold them partially responsible for the misery and crisis of the opioid epidemic because they put profit ahead of country.

Former Memphis police officer Connor Schilling appeared in a Southaven courtroom on Wednesday on DUI charges following an arrest on July 13. Schilling, 28, did not speak in court and would not talk to reporters outside the courtroom. His case has been rescheduled for Nov. 29. On July 17, 2015, Schilling was a three-year veteran of the MPD when he shot and killed 19-year-old Darrius Stewart after a minor traffic stop. Stewart was a passenger in the vehicle. According to the Southaven arrest report, a caller alerted the police that a blue GMC Sierra pickup was "all over the road, " that the driver might be driving under the influence and that the vehicle was heading into the Taco Bell on Church Road. Officer Whitney Walley arrived at the Taco Bell shortly before 1 a.m. and saw Schilling as he drove away from the drive-through and occupied two spaces in the parking lot. Walley noted that Schilling smelled of alcohol, had red watery bloodshot eyes, slurred speech and swayed when he stood. Schilling told the officer he'd had four beers. Among the items found in his pickup was an empty pint bottle of Jim Beam whiskey. Bond was set at $500. He has entered a plea of not guilty and is being represented by Anthony Farese. Schilling is now living in Nesbit, Mississippi. After the Stewart shooting, Shelby County District Attorney General Amy Weirich recommended that Schilling be charged with voluntary manslaughter and using a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony. But a grand jury did not indict him and a federal review of the shooting ended with insufficient evidence to support charges. Schilling has since retired on disability due to post-traumatic stress disorder, which has been attributed to the shooting. Earlier this month Schilling was deposed in a federal lawsuit filed by Stewart's family. Not his first DUI arrest Schilling was charged with DUI on July 5, 2014, and was suspended by the MPD for 18 days. According to department records, he was arrested at the scene, but the charges were dropped when the arresting officer failed on two occasions to appear in court. Schilling was also accused by a woman of using excessive force during a July 30, 2013, traffic stop. The woman filed a complaint and claimed she was bruised and that Schilling put a knot on her head. I am a Wreckmaster in Michigan that has had way to many close calls with public motorists. From operating on the side of the highway to operating on city streets no one cares unless they see the 3 colors of oh crap; those colors are Red/White/Blue. I want to protect my fellow Wreckmasters not only for us as the operators but also for the loved ones and family tied to that individual.

I'm an Ann Arbor resident and mother who is insulted that our City Council spent $230k of our tax dollars to fund a biased and unscientific study by a consulting firm of former police officers. The A2 City Council needs to stop wasting time and money and take leadership to establish a police review board that is representative, transparent, independent, empowered, grounded in restorative practices, and adequately funded, and to redirect resources to crucial alternatives to policing. The San Francisco Board of Supervisors will be considering a ban on the sale fur in the next few months. Sign the petition to let the Mayor know you support the ban. Together, let’s make fur history! -- Over 50 million animals are exploited and killed for their fur each year. These animals are sentient beings who feel pain, can suffer, and want to live. Mink, foxes, and rabbits are confined in tiny wire cages inside of fur farms where they go insane from boredom, stress, and lack of stimulation. Many are killed in grotesque and brutal ways, including anal and vaginal electrocution. Coyotes and other wild animals are caught in leg-hold traps and suffer slow, agonizing deaths. Practices like these have no place in a progressive city like San Francisco. We are calling on the city to ban the sale of fur, as West Hollywood and Berkeley have already done. There exist numerous alternatives that are equally as warm, better for the environment, and do not require killing animals.
