Make Wisconsin a Sanctuary StateI am tired of hyped-up rhetoric and people who claim smaller government is better, yet still back large, overreaching actions by a president that does not understand actual law.59 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Christophor Rick

@HouseForeign, @HFACDemocrats: Hold a hearing on Trump's Saudi arms dealSenators Rand Paul, Chris Murphy, and Al Franken have introduced a resolution in the Senate against Trump's Saudi arms deal. [1] Representatives Justin Amash and Mark Pocan have introduced a companion resolution in the House against the Saudi arms deal. [2] Under the Arms Export Control Act, the Senate resolution against the Saudi arms deal is guaranteed a floor vote. But the House resolution against the Saudi arms deal is not guaranteed a floor vote. The House resolution against the Saudi arms deal could be buried by the House Foreign Affairs Committee [HFAC] and never receive a floor vote. On May 25, Rep. Ted Lieu and Rep. Ted Yoho sent a letter to HFAC Chairman Ed Royce calling for a full committee hearing to review the Trump Administration’s proposed sale of precision-guided munitions to Saudi Arabia. The letter noted that the Trump Administration had yet to provide information related to the Saudi Air Force’s capacity to avoid civilian casualties and attacks on civilian targets in its airstrikes in Yemen which was requested by 31 Members of Congress, including members of the Committee, in a letter on April 6, 2017. The Obama Administration suspended the sale in December 2016 following repeated Saudi airstrikes on civilian targets. [3] Add your voice to the demand that HFAC hold a hearing on Trump's Saudi arms deal by signing our petition. I support Colorado joining the US Climate AllianceIt's time we establish our state's rights in the fight to reduce carbon emissions at our state's power plants, reduce methane emissions, and boycott OPEC and the American Oil and Gas Industry by NOT driving gas and diesel passenger cars on Sundays. We also recommend that Coloradians boycott all fuel transported via the Keystone Pipeline and increase the State of Colorado incentives for Plugin Hybrid Vehicles and Electric Vehicles70 of 100 SignaturesCreated by DL Thomas

Full legalization of Marijuana in the State of FloridaBecause we voted for medical marijuana to be legalized, and the state government has taken apart what we voted for and created something completely different out of it. It will unavailable and unaffordable for most people who need it. Also, Florida as a state will benefit economically by full legalization. It will provide jobs, create a money flow that can aid schools and other necessary programs, and will cut down on illegal and unsafe drug activity in our state.44 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Joan Boera

Ask Governor Kate Brown to join the Climate AllianceIt is appalling that our president has chosen a short-sighted policy of climate change denial in the face of urgent need for action to avoid irreparable damage to our planet. Thoughtful people agree that meaningful action to prevent harm to our planet will need to be local, as we cannot rely on our national government to act. Please join me in asking Governor Brown to join with New York, Washington state, and California in honoring the goals of the Paris climate agreement with local action!112 of 200 SignaturesCreated by celene okeson

Stop 15-21 Unit Multifamily, High-Density Housing Development at First Baptist Church Across from...On Tuesday, June 6, 2017, at 7 pm the Monte Sereno City Council will hear public comments and then formally vote on whether to rescind their prior action to re-zone the First Baptist Church on Daves Avenue for multi-family housing. The council will decide whether to revoke the former council's decision from last year which zoned the church so as to allow the building of 15-21 high density, multi-family housing units. The meeting on June 6 comes after a citizen petition to revoke decision or put it the voters on a ballot was rejected by the city. That petition was then taken to court and the petitioners (The Monte Sereno Citizens for Sensible Development) won in court. Now the Council must either revoke the zoning decision on June 6, 2017, or put the zoning decision to the voters on the 2018 general election ballot. Last year's Council passed the zoning decision despite overwhelming citizen opposition. Citizens opposed the zoning change for many reasons: Perhaps most important because it would put children at risk by hugely increasing density and traffic right across the street from already-impacted Daves Elementary. The proposed development would have been extremely high-density packing as many as 21 units on a one-acre portion of the church property. Further, the zoning change would set Monte Sereno up for its own version of Los Gatos' "North 40" mess because the zoning change calls for "by right" development, meaning that when a developer eventually wants to develop the property, the citizens would have very little say in controlling the process. (It should also be noted, the church did not ask for and has opposed the zoning decision - the City didn't even listen to the landowner who does not want this zoning change.) The City has now wasted well over $100,000 on this matter, rejecting a qualified petition and fighting in court over technicalities. Because of the high cost putting a matter on the election ballot, the City stands to spend tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars more if the Council does not vote to revoke the prior, misguided zoning decision. This is money which could be much better spent finding real solutions to the housing issue, fixing our streets, and taking care of the citizens of Monte Sereno's real health and safety priorities. Please sign this petition AND plan to show up on June 6, 2017 at 7pm to the council meeting at Monte Sereno City Hall 18041 Saratoga-Los Gatos Road, Monte Sereno, to make your voice heard loud and clear: Zoning the First Baptist Church property to allow 15-21 units of high-density, multi-family housing is a terrible idea. Now is the time for our new, 2017 City Council to step up and reject that plan forever. The City is avoiding publicizing this critical meeting, so please be sure that your neighbors who may not be aware learn of this important meeting, sign this petition and plan to attend and speak.112 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Shawn Leuthold

Governor Rauner: work with Democrats to give Illinois a budget! All entities in the State of Illinois who are supposed to receive state funds are being neglected because the state has had no budget for 2+ years! This includes schools, higher education, the sick, the poor, retirees, any disadvantaged. The legislators have tried but the governor just makes demands without negotiating.186 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Helen Martin

Tell Governor Sununu to uphold the Paris Climate AgreementThroughout the country, Governors and Mayors are making the pledge to continue to follow through with the targets proposed in the Paris Climate Agreement. They are also making clear that they want the United States to be the leaders in the international fight against climate change. Governor Sununu has publicly declared support for President Trump backing out of the Paris Climate Agreement. We deserve a representative who will take a progressive, common sense approach to this incredibly serious issue, not one who supports our President as he continues to endanger our future and our reputation internationally.12 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Lauren Tateosian
