MAIN TAGLINE OF SAVE ORPHANS AND DISABLED AFRICAN CHILDRENOur tagline at SODAC is "off the streets and on their feet." Our goal is to provide street children and vulnerable children with rehabilitation, support and resettlement services. Right now our activities are primarily in Kampala, Uganda. We have a home and center where children from all over the slums come and participate in our activities and have a chance to enjoy life as a child. Our activities include educating them, giving the shelter, teaching them how to sing dance, acrobatics and other activities that we can participate in as a family and across African Countries. Currently there are 16 boys who live and sleep in the home. There are more than 50 other children who come from the streets and slums that we help. These are children who lives on the streets with no one to take care of them and with no one to cater for his/her welfare, such children are abandoned, rejected and neglected and society considers him/her as a detriment to the community or dangerous to society. Such children might be victims of war, natural disaster, and domestic violence, parents died of HIV/AIDS or absolute poverty in the family.7 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Fred Kabogoza

Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte, NC: stop discriminationHospitals have a responsibility to the public to make sure that doctors are practicing good medicine, through the process of fair and unbiased peer review. However, Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte abused this process to discriminate against Dr. Ron Virmani, who is a U.S. citizen, because he was born in India. On September 1, 1995, they kicked him out of the hospital after a very secretive sham internal peer review, labeling 24 of his patient charts "problematic". An expert of North Carolina Medical Board stated that Dr. Virmani met the standard of care. Dr. Virmani lost his ob-gyn career and his professional standing. He and his family suffered tremendously for 16 long years and still continue to suffer.545 of 600 SignaturesCreated by Ron Virmani, M.D.

Petition for Emergency Legislation to Mandate Hand-Counting of Ballots for Election SecurityThe recent acquisition of Dominion Voting Systems by Liberty Vote highlights a dangerous reality. Our election security is at risk; the most essential part of our democracy is our right to vote unmolested. When the Oligarchs seek to undermine our democracy through technology, it is often the case that older, tested methods can foil their complex means of manipulation. In essence, to outmaneuver their intent to manipulate our constitutional vote to free and fair elections, we must demand that our State, Governor, Assembly, and Senate lead the way for other Democratic states to follow. We have led the way with Prop 50, and we encourage our leadership to continue this trend by taking steps to protect our rights as Californians and as Americans to free and fair elections.119 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Shane Yirak

NJ Legislature must convene regularlyWe need our New Jersey state legislature to protect our state from the threats from the federal government on our most vulnerable residents and our democracy. Last week's budget cuts threaten food and housing security. Due to the astronomical increase in ICE funding, we anticipate that actions taken by DHS will increase to the level seen in California, including tanks and military being deployed to MacArthur Park. We have elected our legislators to fight for New Jersey and we need them to be able to react urgently to the unprecedented attacks on our state coming from D.C.1 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Laura Zurfluh

Bring Heidy Home to Her Baby and HusbandThis is not just Heidy Sanchez Tejeda’s story — it’s a reflection of what can happen to any loving, law-abiding family caught in a broken system. Heidy was deported despite having no criminal record, leaving behind a U.S. citizen husband and a medically fragile, one-year-old daughter who was still breastfeeding and suffers from seizures. Their daughter was born through IVF — a miracle child whose health and well-being now suffer daily without her mother’s care. This campaign is about family, justice, and compassion. By supporting Heidy’s return: • You stand for keeping families together, especially those with vulnerable children. • You send a message that non-criminal parents should not be torn from their babies. • You demand that our immigration system make room for humanity, health, and hope. Every signature, every share, every voice matters. Together, we can show decision-makers that the American public believes in second chances, in love over bureaucracy, and in doing what’s right. Join us to bring Heidy home — because no child should be separated from their mother.4,876 of 5,000 SignaturesCreated by Claudia Canizares
