As a life long voter, first in New York and now in Ohio, I thought my voting rights were secure. But The Powers That Be is trying to take that right away by cuting early voting times in Cuyahoga, Summit, Lucas and Franklin Counties, where I live. Is this how The Republians intend to win the election? We must not let them win!!!!!!

Why should we lost our heard earned Social Security just because we get married. Married Couples that get married after they get on disability, lose some of their benifits. Each party has worked heard of any benifits they have. Why take that away, just because they get married. No one wants to be alone. Some couples are separating, just to keep their benifits.

Bryan Fischer of the American Family Organization has called for an "Underground Railroad" to "rescue" children from same sex marriages. This is not only disturbing but it might even be illegal. Russian authorities have arrested members of feminist punk band "Pussy Riot" for demonstrating inside Christ the Saviour Cathedral in Moscow. These young women were simply performing a song which called for Vladimir Putin's resignation. According to Russian authorities, the women have been accused of "hooligan-ing," and the state prosecutor is threatening to sentence them to three years behind bars. However, we all know that this is a mere attempt to censor free speech and suppress Putin's dissidents. Join us in telling Mr. Putin that his detainment and prosecution of these women is unlawful, inhumane, and violates both human and civil rights. These women were simply exercising their freedom of speech, and must be set free!

Thursday, the city council is considering an ordinance that we find to be detrimental to the interests of the residents of St. Petersburg. While it is supposedly aimed at securing the safety of partygoers and city residents during an August 26th RNC party at Tropicana Field, we believe that many of its features have absolutely no value in protecting residents, protesters or RNC attendees. The ordinance does make many aspects of ordinary living for residents impossible, the ordinance massively infringes on our civil liberties, and essentially shuts down some of our local businesses. Such a law serves no clear purpose in keeping anyone safe, but it does make almost everyone who happens to live or shop in the zone “arrestable.”

Government keeps wanting to regulate, administer and tax the internet. Access and use of the internet should remain free to the people.

It is time for voters to not be taken in by Super Pacs. We must stop influential groups from trying to buy our elections. This means protecting voter rights at all cost, and stopping filthy rich companies, governments, and other groups from trying to take the country over, and make it in their own image and likeness. Our country is about the people and their freedom to vote for who they choose without fighting the money interests that tend to leave them out of who wins and who loses.

The City of Joliet is trying to force us to get rid our three backyard hens. A small flock of hens will produce eggs to feed a family, but they are pets and should not be classified by zoning ordinances as "farm animals."

I have concerned about Bridgeport-Port Jefferson Ferry does not permit Photography onboard the ferry. If photography was allowed, passengers, people, drivers and tourists will enjoy take pictures of beautiful scenic from ferry.
