I am starting this petition because currently I am a Time Warner Customer, and in the past five years, Time Warner disputes with CBS/Showtime (2013), the MSG sports network (2012), and Fox Television (2009) has threatened to remove TV shows, with service being actually cut twice since 2012. I am tired of cable monopolies, or near monopolies, in New York and other cities, and I want customers like myself to be able to easily change service providers when cable TV companies use us as pawns in disputes with television networks.

"Citizen Koch" was pulled from a national public television broadcast because of fear of upsetting David Koch, who has been a major donor to public television. But public television stations should answer to viewers like me, not to billionaires like the Koch brothers -- and I want to see this important documentary. Will you join the call for a national broadcast of "Citizen Koch" on Independent Lens?

Citizens are only free if they are empowered by information. If resources like public television refuse to broadcast important documentaries such as "Citizen Koch," they are not only de jure servants of private interests, but deliberately circumscribing the liberty of their public. Please do not deprive us of the knowledge we not only deserve, but rely on to make critical decisions!

I am a Vietnam Veteran and am appaled that GE partnered with the German company Krupp who built the gas chambers and was instrumental in bringing Hitler into power. GE and Krupp monopolized the tungsten carbide (carboloy) market and crippled our factories producing essential war materials severely hurting the war effort, all for PROFIT. David Koch is on the PBS board for one reason, to influence programming and prevent PBS from continuing to be the last bastion of Truth in Broadcasting. We, the public, would appreciate the opportunity to see "Citizen Koch" on PBS. The people need to know the truth. Please join the call for a national broadcast of this documentary.

PBS originally began as the source of information broadcasting for those un-represented in society. What has evolved over the decades is an empire that caters to the rich and educated. Hence, Koch seeks to keep his name and brand exposed to suit his needs. Those of us who don't care about rich donors demand instead that we be shown the truth and nothing but the whole truth.
