• WTVS 56-Detroit, MI: Air Citizen Koch!
Just as there is FREEDOM of the press and FREEDOM of speech, there must be FREEDOM OF THE AIR AND INFORMATION. Our PBS stations MUST NOT be intimidated by the deep pockets of the well-heeled. Their domination of our democracy must be stopped. PBS must broadcast CITIZEN KOCH so ALL VIEWERS CAN SEE THIS DOCUMENTARY on Independent Lens.

  • Concerned PBS Viewer
I am a lifelong viewer and long-time member of PBS. I often tell people that if I had to choose between ALL of cable and PBS it would be PBS hands-down. I depend on them to provide the most far-reaching, honest and life-affirming news, history, art etc. I am shocked and saddened by the news that they refuse to air a documentary on the Koch brothers. This country and its citizens need more than ever an honest account of the forces that are shaping our world much of which we are blissfully unaware.

  • Air Citizen Koch
Donations from individuals should not entitle them to dictate what does, and does not, air on public TV. Air "Citizen Koch" and accept the loss of his money if it comes to that--others will replace the funding.

  • WOSU: Air 'Citizen Koch'
It is ridiculous that a documentary about a major donor was not aired, likely due to the fact that the subject of the documentary is also a major donor. This undermines the credibility of public media entirely. Shows and documentaries should air on their merits and use to the public alone. By allowing interference with programming by a donor WOSU and PBS are deviating from their purpose and mission statement- to produce and air material that serves the public and society.

  • WFIQ - 36: Support Free Speech. Air "Citizen Koch!"
Air Citizen Koch! "Citizen Koch" was pulled from a national public television broadcast because of fear of upsetting David Koch, who has been a major donor to public television. But public television stations should answer to viewers like me, not to billionaires like the Koch brothers -- and I want to see this important documentary. Will you join the call for a national broadcast of "Citizen Koch" on Independent Lens?

  • WKAR: Air the documentary Citizen Koch
"Citizen Koch" was pulled from national public television broadcast, but we have a right to know. I want to see this important documentary. I am not the only one. Public TV stations should answer to regular viewers, not powerful billionaires. Isn't that what public TV is all about? Will you buck the rich and powerful, and air this documentary?

  • Tell OPB to show Citizen Koch
I am disappointed in Public Television for pulling the documentary "Citizen Koch" for fear of upsetting the Koch brothers who are contributors to PBS. I wondered why they were contributing to PBS and why PBS had taken money from such right-wing sources.
