John Metz and Denny's - Stop Intimidating Your Employees!Denny's franchise owner of over 40 restaurant's, John Metz, is implementing a 5% gratuity on all meals to pay for the cost he will incur by proving healthcare to his employees through Obamacare. He has publicly suggested that if a customer not want to pay the extra 5%, to take it out of the waiter/waitress's usual tip. He also plans to cut most employees hours to offset these costs. Our working class citizens who need jobs do not deserve to have their hours cut and tips reduced.3 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Chris Mansi

Denny's Owner: Stop Proposed 5% "Obamacare Surcharge"John C. Metz, owner of several dozen Denny's restaurants, announced on 11/15 that he will add a 5% "Obamacare Surcharge" onto his customers' checks (http://www.politico.com/news/stories/1112/83943.html?hp=l5). If we don't feel like paying 5% extra, he simply proposes that we tip his employees 5% less. Additionally, Mr. Metz stated he will reduce many of his full-time restaurant employees to part-time status so he can avoid purchasing health insurance for them. Many of the previously unemployed who have found new work have done so in the service industry, at companies like Mr. Metz's. These people cannot afford a 5% reduction in their tips, and Denny's customers cannot afford a 5% surcharge on their food.4 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Patrick Diogenia

Colorado: Say NO to Uranium mineEnergy Fuels Inc. want to mine uranium in the Paradox Valley. This is the first uranium mill to be built in the United States in more than 25 years. Uranium is a volatile element, as it reacts with almost all nonmetallic elements. It has been known to cause lung cancer. I live here, with my family. We live on the Paradox Trail, a clean, unfettered, lovely place in the high desert of Colorado. Wildlife is abundant. We need to maintain our area, as it is. We need to stop Energy Fuels Inc. from mining our land and making it unstable and unsafe.3,451 of 4,000 SignaturesCreated by Haven Sabaini

Insurance AbuseAdding more insult to injury, families living in the devastation of the Hurriblizzard of 2012 are now receiving notices from their homeowners insurance companies that they will be dropped from the policy. The NE has been hit hard in the past 3 years, a violent Nor'easter, Hurricane Irene, and now Sandy with the topper a blizzard. The insurance companies must be stopped from dropping people in the hour of their greatest need.5 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Marilyn Demeter

Black Friday Boycott of Macy's for supporting Donald Trump.Actions speak louder than words. Angelo Carusone's petition for Macy's to "dump Donald Trump" had more than 620,000 signatures by Thursday, November 15, 2012 at 02:02:02 PM EST and will be delivered to Macy's CEO Lundgren when it hits 625,000. However, Macy's continues to support Donald Trump. Macy's insists that Trump's political leanings are not a reflection of the company's. I and apparently over 600K people would disagree. For a moment let's consider why would they hire a "celebrity" for endorsements or special product line. Simple, celebrities sell stuff and consumers will pay attention to celebrities because they are attracted to them and they like and identify with what they say. With this simple truth, Macy's is in fact "hiring" Trumps "celebrity" status, including his political beliefs, sexist behavior, hypocrisy, bigotry and over all despicableness. I would further support this by stating why do companies sometimes drop it's celebrity spokespeople? For example: Gatorade drop it's "Tiger Focus" brand, rapidly followed by other sponsors like AT&T and Accenture over a private sex scandal? Why did Nike drop Armstrong as spokesman? State Farm Drops Penn State? Yes the list goes on and on and on. I'm not saying Mr. Trump has a right to his opinion (however obnoxious I think he is), he sure does, so do I, actually, so do we all. That's what's great about America, our 1st Amendment ensuring Freedom of Speech is wonderful, powerful and a great responsibility. What has to be acknowledge is the repercussions for his opinions. Clearly Trump fails to understand this as does the Macy's CEO. So I propose this: What if Macy's was a store and in order to send a message to Macy's in a language (like MONEY & PROFIT) that they can truly understand regarding Mr. Trump's spokesman-ship, suddenly no one shopped there? Yes, MONEY talks and actions truly do speak louder than words. Black Friday is coming please send them a message by 1) signing this petition vowing you will NOT SHOP there 2) By NOT SHOPPING at Macy's on Black Friday weekend!36 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Alfred Robertson
