Their is no honesty in Trip Advisors rating of hotels. They are being paid off to accept good reviews ....? "may and may not be hotel guest. We book hotels based on their honest reviews. I have experience guest who wrote negative emails and Trip Advisors did not post them. I experience extreme treatment at the hotel Artmore in Atlanta and I believe the world should be aware and the hotel should not appear on any list that begin with anything more than a 3 out of 10 for service, personnel, cleanliness, and customer service

On November 9, the corporate owners of KPOJ - Clear Channel - changed formats from progressive talk to sports. This was done without warning and without explanation. KPOJ was the very first Air America outlet, launched the national radio show of Thom Hartmann, and for years has been one of the brightest stars in the constellation of progressive talk stations in America. It has remained strongly profitable with a dedicated listener base and dedicated advertising sponsors. And KPOJ's Morning Show - first with Thom Hartmann and then with Carl Wolfson - has been a source of critical commentary and news in Portland. We believe that this decision by Clear Channel management can be reversed. We can - and will - demonstrate that progressive talk radio in Portland has a dedicated listener base.

There has been many commentators such as Glenn Beck and Fox News who are constantly making racial and hateful statements. These views or comments, do not identify with all Americans. These comments create discord among the races in this county and there has to be someone held accountable with the views presented by the stations and their employees. I'm calling for those that feel these commentators views are not there own to join in the fight against racism and bigotry.

Papa John's is declaring "Obamacare" too expensive, so owner, John Schnatter, who's personal net worth is $600 million, has decided to cut the hours of employees to below the 30 hour threshold to keep them ineligible for healthcare benefits. The cost is estimated at $0.15/per pizza to the company that makes $1.22 Billion in annual revenues (Health care would be 0.006% of their revenues, or approximately $8 million) Meanwhile, Papa John's is able to give away $2 million pizzas, retail value at $20 million. HSBC was one of the worst subprime lenders during the heyday of subprime lending. As a real estate agent during that time (I quit the business and am teaching English abroad now), I saw too many times how they raped the poor and elderly with their high fees, prepayment penalties and exorbitant interest rates. One story, but I have hundreds. One man who lived in one of the poorest neighborhoods in New Castle, DE, Rosegate, had gotten refinanced with HSBC. He had a huge prepayment penalty that I couldn't get him out of; his interest rate was 9.25% when interest rates were about 6%. In fact, when I sold him a home, he qualified at Wilmington Trust for 6%, the going rate at the time, just about a year after he had gotten the refinance with HSBC! Robbery, and nothing less. Of course, he was a minority, whom HSBC preys on. They want me to keep this short, but I have more stories. HSBC wasn't the only one, but they were definitely one of the worst. As a resident, voter and homeowner in the State of New York, the fact that JP Morgan Chase received excess funds as a result of the LIBOR manipulations concerns me. JP Morgan Chase operates in New York under the laws my representatives enacted and must account for any charges it obtained from customers as a result of the artificial inflation of mortgage rates.

As the nation observes Veteran’s Day, janitors who ensure that veterans have safe and sanitary rooms at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center are being denied two weeks’ pay. I take my job as a janitor at Walter Reed very seriously and I feel responsible for keeping it clean and safe for all the veterans who are getting care there. But Escab Enterprises, a federal cleaning contractor that has received over $40 million in taxpayer money since 2008, hasn’t paid me and my fellow employees our last paycheck--for two weeks of work-- and they won’t even say when we will get paid. In fact, they haven’t paid nearly 300 janitors that work at Walter Reed, the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USU) and the Internal Revenue Service. We earn just $13.97 per hour at Walter Reed and without two weeks of pay we are already struggling to support our families. We don’t know when—or if—they intend to pay us what we’re owed. The government is spending millions in tax dollars on this company that hasn’t paid the workers who are helping our nation’s veterans recuperate in a safe and clean environment and cleaning other important government buildings. We are committed to our jobs and continue to work to best protect the health and safety of the patients and workers in the buildings we clean but we need to be paid immediately so we can support our families. We have been told a responsible contractor is taking over at the Walter Reed Medical Center. The Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USU) and the Internal Revenue Service should do the same; Escab Enterprises is a bad actor and shouldn’t be allowed to work for the government.

We the citizens of Antioch,TN are petitioning and pleading for the TARGET STORE at 5330 Cane Ridge Road (Cane Ridge) to remain in our community as we need you to help us continue to revitalize our community. This store has been in our community for over 31 years, and is an added value to the entire business mix within the surrounding districts of Antioch/Cane Ridge. With our city being the largest in the Davidson county with a population of over 50,000, our demographics demonstrate that we are a very diverse community both socially and economically, and certainly can benefit from the products and services that this TARGET provides. Again we are asking that you reconsider the closing of this store, and SAVE OUR ANTIOCH TARGET!

Polls show that 70% of Americans favor the return to Clinton-era tax rates for the top 2% of earners ($200,000 for individuals, $250,000 for couples). Yet many members of Congress insist that these tax cuts stay in place, while favoring cuts to programs important to the middle class. This petition asks the White House to create an online site for tracking each member of Congress' position on this issue, so it is very clear to constituents where their representatives stand. The site should be widely publicized to the press, on television, and social media. If 70% favors this change, exactly who are these Congresspeople representing?

The Koch Brothers spent millions to defeat Democrats and flooded the media with lies and misinformation about candidates and proposals. We, the People can fight back against this abuse by not buying their products.
