  • Stop taxing us to pay for corporate entertainment
Corprations can deduct the cost of entertainment such as sports, restaurants, and strip joints from their federal taxes. This is why football teams want tons of luxury suites and seats. Taxes which businesses don't pay must be paid by ordinary taxpayers, many of whom are really struggling. This will also end the economic distortions resulting from taxpayer subsides used for sports and other entertainment. End the corporate tax deduction for entertainment NOW!

  • Virtual Occupy Movement
Many of us support the Occupy Movement. We may be too frail, too old, too remote from the action, or for other reasons unable to participate on site. The Occupy Movement's reputation has been diluted by the destructive actions of a few who do not represent the movement, but its values remain intact. We need to have a strong on-line presence as part of the 99% message.

  • Return Pre-withdrawal Penalties to Americans, and Eliminate Future Penalties On Our Own Money
When millions of American's lost their jobs due to big business fiascos, people had to dip into their 401ks and IRAs and the like to survive. The federal government did not lift the rule on the 10% pre-withdrawal penalty. Corporations got bail-outs, and executives got bonuses. But the average citizen still had to pay a penalty when they tapped their retirement funds to survive.

  • Let's Make the Buffet Rule a Reality
If you're part of the wealthiest 1%, feel free to ignore this. If not, sign. Let's show Pres. Obama he's right about fair taxation and we're behind him. Show your support for the Buffet Rule. If you agree that millionaires should pay at least as high a rate as middle class Americans, sign this petition to show our numbers. No household making more than $1 million each year should pay a smaller share of their income in taxes than a middle class family pays. This is the Buffett Rule—a simple principle of tax fairness that asks everyone to pay their fair share.

  • Defeating Recession: Creating New Industries
As it stands criminals profit from all black market trade and are often times caught on tax evasion charges. The creation of new taxable industries on products that are already in circulation only makes sense. Money is being siphoned into imprisoning people for addiction rather than getting them the psychological attention their disease needs. The compassionate, pragmatic, sensible move is to legalize marijuana, tax it, and watch as a new industry drags us out of economic hardship. This would not only create a large amount of jobs but it would secure a new revenue stream. It would also reduce existing overhead as the failed war on drugs would no longer monopolize so much money limiting other possible outlets for expenditure. Think of the extra money for education and infrastructure; brighter children and better bridges. Think of the impact of how our government is viewed; getting people treatment, help, for their addiction instead of treating them like villains. What is wrong with a little compassion? It certainly seems that creating this new industry would have the potential to change our social, and economic, situation for the better.

  • Impeach Gov. Bob McDonnell
I am requesting the impeachment of Gov.Bob McDonnell who has shown insensitive views on Woman,Education and Minorities. Gov.McDonnell's ineptness and blatant lies has caused many Teachers,Police Officers and Healthcare workers to lose their jobs throughout the commonwealth of Virginia. Gov.McDonnell is more focused on trying to run for Vice President then running the great State of Virginia.

  • Audit all budgets
Taxpayers and citizens do not know where their taxes are going nationally or locally. We need a database where we can put in our zip code and see where are local city, county, state and federal tax money is going. Wouldn't all citizens want to know where there tax money is going? Wouldn't it be great to go to a relieable database to get local and national tax spending information? Let's make this happen. Please sign the petition.

  • The Old and the Young In The Workplace.
The two largest demographic blocs in the United States with the most difficulty finding employment are those 18-24 and those 55-65+. Mainly because in the case of the former, businesses of all sizes want "experienced workers", and in the case of the latter, "they're too old, cost us more in salary and benefits, etc".
