Reduce Military Spending

If the Republicans refuse to allow the rich to pay their fair share of taxes, then how are we to get this economy back to thriving standards. Only the rich who hord all the money and then claim not to have any, are the ones who can keep this country's economy thriving. If they refuse, they should be voted out of power and allow the other side to create jobs and put America back to work and create fair share taxes for everyone, not just a select few.

For the last twenty years, the US has been shipping its manufacturing jobs overseas through free trade agreements. We need to put American's needs first and bring all of these jobs home now.

If we end the Bush Tax Cut, which gives tax breaks to the rich, we will collect over 500 Billion dollars in the next 10 years.

According to SourceWatch, State Farm Insurance is a major supporter of ALEC, the group that came up with "model legislation" adopted by a number of Republican-led state legislatures such as the Stand Your Ground law in Florida, voter ID laws that disenfranchise poor, elderly and minority voters, and the attacks on unions in Wisconsin, Ohio and Indiana. State Farm is different from most of the other members of ALEC because it is not investor-owned. State Farm is a mutual benefit corporation, a kind of financial cooperative, which means that it is owned by its policy-holders, pooling their money to provide insurance services. The money it gives to ALEC rightfully belongs to its policyholder-owners, and State Farm has no right to use it to fund ALEC's right-wing agenda. The Republician Congress in 2006 passed a law that required the USPS to pre-fund it's pension fund for 75 years in a 5 year time frame. This outrageous law will cause the loss of over 200,000 middle class jobs, 20% of whom are vets. No tax dollars go to funding the USPS.

This will help decrease our national debt. They need to look at themselves as the ones that are causing some of the debt problems.

Religious organizations do not pay taxes because as most of us agree they are seen as doing good in the community. However, when they use their status to have influence and effect or change our political system, then they shoud be treated no different then the rest of us. If they choose to do that, then they should give up their tax exempt status.

Why don't churches, synagogues, mosques etc. pay property and income taxes? I think they should as they use services and infrastructure that taxpayers pay for. I believe this would go a long way towards reducing our national debt.

In most of the world the ratio of CEO pay to lowest paid employee is no more than 40% in the US it is over 400%. CEOs in the US make more than 400 times what the lowest paid employee gets paid. We need to control corporate greed.

Introduce an employment law regulating the hiring of new employees that require training. This would allow employers to hire at a lower wage to be increased incrementally to full wages as training is completed.
