• Leave the Wisconsin Retirement System Alone
Leave the Wisconsin Retirement System alone. It has worked well in the past. We don't need Wall Street getting their greedy hands on our funds which would occur in the defined contribution model. It's another ploy to aid the wealthiest 1% at the expense of the middle class.

  • Support City Place
City Place is an exciting proposed addition to Barre's historic downtown. The current conceptual design is mixed-use with retail, services and office space for up to 400 State workers. This e-petition was set up as a simple and effective way to show the State that there is citizen support for the City Place concept.

  • Tell the House To Pass an Unemployment/Payroll Tax Cut Senate Deal or Pass an Acceptable One
The recent rejection of the payroll tax cuts/unemployment benefits by the House. And the attempts to tie it to the firing of government workers, Oil Industry Pipeline projects, cuts to health care and financial regulations funding, and other pet initiatives. They said we the 99% have no message or focus. Let’s give them one. Let’s come down hard on this one! I will gladly donate to media and ads that will take on this issue.

  • Return the power to the people
The 1% think they own America, AND THAT WE CAN'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. Let's show them the power of the 99%! Starting in January let's pledge to BOYCOTT 1 Bank (BankAmerica); 1 Airline (USAirways); 1 Retailer (Walmart); 1Drugstore (Walgreens); 1 Political Party (Republican); until the tax inequities are resolved (new taxes on the 1%) and cuts to education, the environment, and job creation bills are restored.

  • Reduce Government Costs
Reducing wages and benefits for Government Officials in Congress and the Senate. This would help the deficit, as well as, make it clear to these 'government officials' WE PAY THEIR WAY ! And since they are really not doing the jobs we hired them for....they do not deserve the benefits they're receiving. Let's put government officials on the same level as the people they are SUPPOSED to be representing...NO 'extra benefits' ..no, excused from paying their kid's Student loans, NO Health Benefits unless THEY'RE paying for them,,,especially, AFTER they are 'out of office' ... Then we'll see how much of the 1% THEY want to represent !

  • unemployment and welfare drug testing
We want our government to know that us hardworking , tax paying citizens, are fed up with paying for people to use our money for supporting thier drug habits. We have to go to jobs where we are not allowed to use drugs. Some of us are even tested ourselves. This country is in extream debt. If drug users were not recieving payments to use then im sure that would save billions of dollars a year that could be used for better things like teachers for our schools, social security, medicare, and maybe funding drug programs where the drug abusers could go to get clean and sober.
