Why is Social Security and unemployment taxed? These are programs that Americans rely on when necessary or have paid into all their working lives as a retirement program. We need to uphold the integrity of these programs!

We could payday loans, car title loans and outrageous credit card fees by limiting interest to 10%. It's interesting that when debtor countries in Europe had their loans at 7% interest the loans refinanced because at 7% interest it was considered unrealistic that the loans would ever be repaid. So why are we paying 20% or more on credit card balances?

I will like Democrats and Republicans to pass a bill, to keep jobs in the USA. For example, If an American company has a factory in China with 1000 employees by law they need to have the same employee counts in USA.

Currently those who make less than $200,000 (approx) pay 6-1/2% (approx) on 100% of their income. Those who earn more pay that same tax on only the first $200,000 of their income. Why do the poorest of us pay Social Secuity tax on 100% of our income and the wealthy pay the tax on only a portion of theirs??

Banks received big bailouts with the implied idea that they must give consumers relief. Private mortgage companies may not have received a bailout, but with the economy still not rebounding fast enough people are still losing their homes at an alarming rate. Unfortuantely neither of them are required to work with homeowners facing hardships and or foreclosure. Please sign the petition to help people stay in their homes, enough is enough!

Several people have found refinancing options through signature assistance. Meantime the average homeowner who is struggling with stagnant wages and increased demands on wages is struggling. Include all mortgage owners in legislation to allow those who can barely keep up with FHA and HUD loans and traditional loans to refinance even if credit is short and cash to refinance traditionally is too.

This will lower wages and not help anything.

President Obama's recent change to the policies concerning federal student loans has undoubtedly helped students, but it has not gone far enough. We must call on the president and Congress to extend the benefits granted concerning graduate plus and other similar loans to Federal Direct Plus or "Parent Plus" loans as well.

As many of you know, most federal subsidies go to factory farms and not small scale agriculture. If we equaled the amount between small scale and large scale agriculture, a much larger percentage of people would have access to healthier and better tasting food, a great deal more jobs would be created at the rural and urban levels, and our economy would keep more of its money at home, instead of other countries around the world.

After WWII veterans were capable of buying a house with no down payment and low interest. We have a terrible problem with so many foreclosed houses and abandoned housing stock which is killing the real estate industry until the backlog is resolved. Make them available to veterans based upon present values,write off the deficit, provide fix up funds and a VA no down payment mortgage.
