Best Buy has the worst return policy in America, PERIOD! I recently visited my local Best Buy store in Roseville, Michigan to return a gift that was paid for with cash and I was given the receipt. I thought this would be a quick in and out. However, I was told that because the item was more than 30 days I could not return the item. What is worse is that I was not able to exchange or get in-store credit for the item and was basically told to get lost. Now I am forced to sell my gift on ebay at a loss and Best Buy keeps the profit!

Elected officials should not make commitments or promises to lobbyists or other politically motivated entities that obligate them to compromise thier duties to their constituents or to the nation. Many elected officials have done just that by signing the "Taxpayer Protection Pledge" which obligates them to oppose all efforts to raise taxes or eliminate deductions not matched by further tax reductions regardless of the needs of the nation. By signing this pledge we, as the electorate, tell them that abdicating their responsibilities is unacceptable.

Verizon Wireless, the country’s largest cellphone company, said Thursday that it will start charging $2 for every payment subscribers make over the phone or online with their credit cards. Verizon said this “convenience fee’’ will be introduced Jan. 15. This is a blatant show of greed on Verizon's part. As consumers we are fed up and will not pay an added fee just to pay our bill.

Dear MoveOn Members: This morning's news: Mitt Romney now proposes to that organizations like National Public Radio (NPR), PBS, the National Endowment for the Arts and the National Endowment for the Humanities be funded through paid advertisements and through private support from charities, exclusively. The facts are: 1) paid advertising goes completely against the intent and spirit of NPR and PBS and is the principal reason that programming on NPR and PBS remains relatively free from corporate influence. It can be argued that such influence would cause many worthwhile programs to evaporate due to corporate influence; 2) the nation's charities already give generously to NPR and PBS, while federal funds support the NEA and NEH. To ask our nation's already stressed charities to additionally fund work that, in many instances, they are ALREADY funding, is outrageous; and 3) the combined budgets of all FOUR of these organizations is a very, very small portion of the federal budget. Before we talk about cuts to these organizations, Gov. Romney, let's talk about cuts to the military and the many, many questionable subsidies and tax breaks given to any number of industries in this country.

Leave the Wisconsin Retirement System alone. It has worked well in the past. We don't need Wall Street getting their greedy hands on our funds which would occur in the defined contribution model. It's another ploy to aid the wealthiest 1% at the expense of the middle class.

Leave our pension alone. It is one of the best funded pensions in the united States. (maybe that's why you want to get your hands on it)

City Place is an exciting proposed addition to Barre's historic downtown. The current conceptual design is mixed-use with retail, services and office space for up to 400 State workers. This e-petition was set up as a simple and effective way to show the State that there is citizen support for the City Place concept.

We all know that we need to cut responsibly and we need a better policy on tax fairness. Please do not the political ideology hurt the American People!

The recent rejection of the payroll tax cuts/unemployment benefits by the House. And the attempts to tie it to the firing of government workers, Oil Industry Pipeline projects, cuts to health care and financial regulations funding, and other pet initiatives. They said we the 99% have no message or focus. Let’s give them one. Let’s come down hard on this one! I will gladly donate to media and ads that will take on this issue.
