• Keep Myron Ebell From Being Administrator of EPA
In a time when it's crucial to combat climate change, our country can not afford to appoint a denier as the head of the EPA position. 46 years ago, the EPA was created because our American rivers were so contaminated that they burst into flames and smog-filled skies were over our country's beautiful cities. That was only 46 years ago. We can not go back 46 years with Myron Ebell.

  • President-elect Trump must acknowledge and address Climate Change
The democratic process has spoken, and Donald Trump will be sworn in as the President of the United States on January 20, 2017. Whether or not you supported Trump in the election is no longer an issue. The issue at hand is this: You love this planet. As an outdoorsman or woman your time spent outdoors is therapeutic, exhilarating, singular, and convivial all at the same time. The unfortunate truth (No pun intended) is that our President-elect does not believe in climate change. Environmental science has come too far to be dismissed as a "hoax" implemented by our industrial competition to keep us out of a global manufacturing economy. The fact of the matter is that the United States has evolved past the industrial revolution, if this nation wants to become an industrial powerhouse again it will have to be done in an environmentally conscious manner. That's where you come in, sign this petition to get President-elect Trump to start by simply ACKNOWLEDGING that Climate Change exists, and we'll take it from there, as a nation.

  • Restore Public Access to Public Land and Water
Wisconsin residents have been able to cross the right-away for over a 100 years but now have been denied this access due to a law change in 2006 by the railroad. Over 255 crossings will now be illegal due to this legislation.

  • Sign Grijalva-Huffman: Aid #NoDAPL protectors at Standing Rock
President Obama has recognized the importance of protecting the sacred lands of the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe and of allowing for peaceful demonstrations against the Dakota Access Pipeline, which threatens tribal lands. But state & local law enforcement have been escalating the use of force, with riot gear, batons, armed vehicles, sound cannons, and pepper spray being deployed against demonstrators, resulting in over a hundred arrests. Democratic Representatives Raúl Grijalva & Jared Huffman are leading a letter urging President Obama to de-escalate the use of force at Standing Rock. They urge Obama to deny the easement for the Dakota Access Pipeline to cross Lake Oahe. They urge Obama to protect the rights of the water protectors by sending Justice Department observers & urging North Dakota Gov. Dalrymple to withdraw National Guard & other law enforcement personnel that have been deployed around the camp. They oppose the use of federal funds to reimburse North Dakota for its heavy-handed response to protests. Urge your Representative to support the Grijalva-Huffman letter by signing our petition.

  • USFWS: Protect wolverines before it's too late
As few as 250 wolverines remain in the wild. This species relies on dense spring snowpack during denning season, but due to climate change, this snow is late or non-existent. USFWS has resisted protecting them to date, but recent litigation is requiring them to go back to the drawing board. Please tell Director Dan Ashe to protect wolverines under the Endangered Species Act.

  • Wisconsin: Don't Send Cops to #NoDAPL Protest at Standing Rock
On October 28, Senator Bernie Sanders sent a letter to President Obama requesting that he intervene to protect Native Americans peacefully protesting the Dakota Access Pipeline. [1] At least 140 people were arrested at the construction site in Cannon Ball, N.D., last Wednesday after police moved in with tanks and riot gear, using sound cannons, pepper spray and rubber bullets. Hundreds of Native American protectors have gathered at the site since April to protest the pipeline’s construction on land they claim is tribal under the 1851 Treaty of Fort Laramie. States which have recently deployed personnel against the Standing Rock protests include Wisconsin, Indiana, South Dakota, Minnesota, Wyoming, and Nebraska, according to an October 23 press release from the Morton County Sheriff's Department. [2] Some Minnesota elected officials called on Minnesota authorities not to send police officers to the Dakota Access Pipeline protest at Standing Rock after it was revealed that the Hennepin County Sheriff had done so. [3] Urge Governor Walker and Wisconsin legislators to discourage Wisconsin law enforcement agencies from sending police officers to the #NoDAPL protest at Standing Rock by signing our petition. • ABC Stores, Quit causing Global Warming!!!
We are all negatively effected by pollution from oil burned to generate air conditioning. Much of the electricity in Hawaii, Guam, Las Vegas, (and other locations of ABC Stores) is from burned oil and burned coal. This pollution is harming all of us! ABC Stores are polluting the environment and ignorantly being wasteful.

  • Hillary Clinton, Stand with Standing Rock Sioux Against the Dakota Access Pipeline!
Members of the Standing Rock Sioux tribe of North Dakota have been protesting construction of the Dakota Access pipeline since April. The pipeline, also known as the Bakken Pipeline, will carry fracked crude oil from North Dakota’s Bakken shalefields through South Dakota and Iowa to Illinois and then to Texas and Louisiana. In other words, it’s Keystone XL all over again. The planned pipeline threatens to pollute tribal waters and crosses land sacred to tribes, so the Standing Rock Tribe have been gathering at the site where it burrows under the Missouri River — and now the construction company is working with state and local officials to keep the pipeline moving forward. Secretary Hillary Clinton has refused to take a stand on the pipeline. On the one hand, she has pledged to honor tribal sovereignty and re-open the doors of the White House to Native Americans. On the other hand, she has put forth energy and climate policy that calls for "responsible" investments in new oil and gas pipelines and an "energy system that crosses borders." If we are to have any hope at all of staving off climate catastrophe, we need to halt the fracking of North Dakota’s oil shalefields—not build export pipelines that would allow the Bakken oil boom to increase. Halting the Dakota Access pipeline is critical to keeping the Bakken crude in the ground. Protests began in April, but they’ve picked up pace after the Army Corps of Engineers issued a questionable permit for the pipeline to cross the Missouri River, the source of the Standing Rock Sioux’s drinking water. Construction began on that segment on August 10, when the Standing Rock set up a peaceful encampment that put a halt to the work. Now local and state police are attacking and arresting the water protectors. Secretary Clinton, it’s time to take a stand. Members of the Standing Rock Sioux have asked you to oppose the pipeline. Stand with the tribes, and for a livable climate for all.

  • Stop the Kansas Quakes
The KCC put strict limits in place on wastewater injection wells in 5 counties in southern Kansas, 8,000 barrels, in July of 2015. It worked! So they decided this September to increase that to 16,000 barrels, that's 704,000 gallons, and that is double the amount. Guess when the earthquakes started getting past 3.0 magnitude again? In September! And now that Colorado is bringing their waste to dump in Kansas we have earthquakes in Ellis where the limits don't apply. Ask them exactly how they plan to deal with this failed experiment.
