Have you looked up at the sky lately? "Everyone has seen crisscrossing streaks of white clouds trailing behind jet aircraft, stretching from horizon to horizon, eventually turning the sky into a murky haze". These planes are spraying and filling our air, water and soil with aluminum, barium and strontium. This is causing our global climate to change, farmers crops to die, reduced sun exposure and illness. This must be stopped!

My name is Siena and I am nine years old. My mom and I eat vegetables, and my mom says that eating them is good for us. It won't be if the ground they grow in or the water that helps them grow is poisoned by fracking. When people frack, they inject water, sand, and toxic chemicals into the ground. These chemicals can poison our water and our food. Fracking can give my friends, my family, and other people that I don't even know cancer. I don't want to get cancer. Do you want to get cancer? I don't want to drink fracking water. I don't want to eat fracking food. Fracking can cause big earthquakes. These earthquakes can be deadly. Right now, the people of California--and that includes you and me--don't know where or when the drillers are fracking, what chemicals they are using, and what pollutants they are releasing into the water and air that we drink and breathe. A lot of big oil and gas companies don't care about that. They just care about making money. They want our governor to let them poison us and maybe cause earthquakes. Maybe they are so old that they don't care if they get sick or ruin the planet. But I do. I want to stay healthy and keep the earth healthy too. I'm only 9 years old.

Berkeley and Oakland California were blessed with the leadership of John Muir. We have a wonderful park system in the East Bay Hills. Now FEMA, under the guise of fire prevention, is considering funding clear cutting our beloved forests - eliminating 60,000 trees - and then spraying 30,000 gallons of Monsanto Round-up twice a year for 10 years. This is "eco-cide" - genocide of our ecology, and has to stop.

While we are using fresh water resources to create electric energy we could in some extremely concerned areas like California create electricity with salt water. If you look at satellite pictures of the Las Vegas area through a thirty year period thirty years ago we see that lake mead is three times bigger than las Vegas. Now the city is three times bigger than lake mead. Water has become a precious resource. We should not waste it to produce electricity if we can use salt water.

It's one of the most outrageous special interest provisions in years. Written anonymously, the Monsanto Protection Act allows corporations to sell genetically-modified seeds even when federal courts have blocked them from doing so. Think about that: We have a process for making sure that genetically-modified seeds aren’t sold, planted and grown until we know that they don’t pose a threat to other crops or to humans. The Monsanto Protection Act overrides that process. It lets Monsanto and others ignore a court order designed to protect other farmers, the environment, and human health. That's just wrong. And even worse, the Monsanto Protection Act was passed in secret, stuffed quietly into the budget bill that averted a government shutdown. That's why I've proposed an amendment to the Farm Bill that would repeal the Monsanto Protection Act. Not having safe non-toxic drinking water . Farmers need to stop poisoning our drinking water and tearing out our trees. I have gotten very ill from nitrates in our well water from chemical run-off from the farm ground . There are many others in our area that have the same problems with drinking water and illness.There is no deadlines just need as many Signatures as I can get to stop the chemicals on farm ground

85 acres of wetlands, off Prosperity Road in Virginia Beach, VA, are in jeopardy of being sold for development. No research concerning the impact of the project has been done by the city or state. We are looking for the city of Virginia Beach to fully understand the cost and ramifications of this project prior to the city selling the land rights to developers.

Land developers have been eager to get their hands on a piece of property that has been largely undeveloped for years. The reason for its undeveloped state is that it is one of the very few wetlands still in existence in California today. This tiny parcel serves as one of the only save havens for an entire ecosystem of birds, animals, reptiles, and the like for miles around. Please do not let them build yet another office building space that will sit vacant like all of the others in the near vicinity. Please speak on behalf of the animals and the environment! Save our wetlands!

Freshwater wetlands are critical in purifying water, providing wildlife habitats, preventing flooding, erosion, and storm damage, and reversing the effects of global warming. ABD Wantage, Inc., has proposed building a housing development throughout an area of beautiful native forest and wetlands in Wantage, NJ. They have already been seen violating the Freshwater Wetlands Protection Act and are up for a renewal of their wetlands permit and building approval by the town of Wantage.

Many homeowners who oppose hydrofracking will, nonetheless, be required to have it done on their property. This is a violation of basic property rights, but was made legal in New York State with Article 23, as a benefit to the oil and gas industry. It gives these industries the power of eminent domain, usually reserved for the government, so that they can maximize the amount of land for drilling. With this law in place, unwilling landowners are put at risk for serious health problems due to air pollution and water contamination on their property. They may even be compelled to defend lawsuits resulting from unwanted drilling activities of their neighbors. Moreover, the landowner’s mortgage could be in technical default of their lending provisions. Reluctance of financial institutions to lend money on these properties has caused difficulty in selling or refinancing.

My community has suffered through one dry season after another while in other parts of the country there are floods and heavy snows. Our government leaders should be trying to solve the problems brought on by the drought by using technology at hand.
