Too little is known about the long term effects of Fracking; especially in a sensitively seismic area like California. Is it really worth putting our future in jeopardy just to squeeze out another drop of oil to further pollute our planet and put another billion dollars in the oil industries banks. Let's put a stop to the insanity and say, "Not in our State. Let's invest in clean and renewable energy."

The continuous ear piercing noise from fire engines, police sirens and ambulances has truly intefered with the quality of life both on the streets and inside our homes. While these services are obviously extremely important, I believe that an alternative can be found or an app can be made to replace this non-stop noise pollution that negatively impacts everyone, including pets, children, newborns, cyclists, drivers and those of us at home (with our windows closed, nonetheless!) The sound is so constant, so ridiculously loud and high pitched, that it can be heard on upper floors and during all hours of the night and day. Some avenues, such as Sixth and Seventh Avenues, seem to have sirens piercing eardrums every five minutes. No one is exempt.

Scotch Broom (Cytisus scoparius) is a Class B weed and displaces native and beneficial plants, causing loss of grassland and open forest. Please do not allow Big Oil to "frack" for oil in California. It is too harmful to water supplies and the health of our residents.

Ban All Fracking in California

California has more than enough problems to deal with. We have Oil wells all over our landscape. Please don't add anymore environment devastating actions/enterprises in California.

Monsanto is a large corparation that manufactures genetically engineered farming products. They have a monopoly on the american farming market and are trying to effect not only what we eat but are applying acts that are infringing on our rights. We need to show large corporations and our government that we run the country, not the other way around.

The natural gas and oil drilling process known as fracking has been shown to adversely affect residents' health, environment and quality of life in states like Colorado and Pennsylvania. Fracking is already underway in California, and within L.A. County. Urge our state government to ban the process.

Fracking is a dangerous method of extracting natural gas from geological formations that has the potential to pollute ground water with harsh chemicals and leaking natural gas. Since ground water is a precious resource in the drought-prone state of California, it would be unwise to trade our ability to drink clean water for a short-term supply of natural gas for energy. We do not need poisons being pumped into the ground which can come back to poison Californians who drink the ground water.

Fracking—injecting massive amounts of water and toxic chemicals into the ground to reach otherwise inaccessible oil and gas—is an extreme process, with catastrophic results. Fracking threatens our water, our air, our farms, and our health—and contributes to global warming
